“I just need some time, that’s all,” I sighed, feeling the weight of my emotions beating down on me
Xavi’s expression softened, her eyes filled with understanding. She nodded gently, her silent affirmation a comforting gestures to my flickering nerves.

“Keep it down, Chels,” Xaveria whispered sharply, rolling her eyes in exasperation.
Chelsea’s frustration boiled over. “I’m bored,” she declared, jabbing a finger at herself, “and you’re sad,” she continued, pointing at the accusatorily.
Suddenly, Chelsea’s face brightened. “Let’s go to Great Night’s tonight!” she exclaimed, clapping her hands together in excitement. That was our usual hangout club, but I doubt I want to go to nightclubs right now.
I leaned back, eyes closing in weariness. The thought of navigating a crowded club, pretending to have fun, was overwhelming. Life’s relentless energy had drained me at this point
“I don’t think I’m up for it,” I murmured.
“Whyyyyy nottit?” She whiines as I winced at her voice plunging deep into my ears.
Xaveria’s patience snapped, her voice sharp as a whip. “Really? Chelsea? Can’t you see she’s sick and hurt?”
I opened my eyes, startled by Xaveria’s outburst. The last thing I needed was more tension. Chelsea’s expression darkened, flashing with defensiveness.
“Hey, I was just trying to take her mind off things,” Chelsea protested, her tone prickly.
Xavi crossed her arms, her gaze unwavering “Well, maybe consider what she actually needs for once.”
The air thickened with unspoken words, the silence between them heavy with unaddressed emotions.

Chelsea’s expression twisted, her voice dripping with venom. “Woah, why are you charging at me? It’s about Matias, isn’t it? You guys are jealous I’m dating him.”
Xaveria’s eyes widened, incredulity etched on her face. “Jealous? Of what? Your never–ending cycle of drama with him?”
