She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 104

Later on, she and the little mouse became friends.

It almost seemed as if the mouse could understand her words.

Every time she was dragged out of the basement and thrown back, the mouse would be there waiting for her, keeping her company.

Countless days and nights blurred together, but the mouse was always by her side.

Elsewhere in the mansion, a woman was examining a set of instruments that had just arrived—tools she planned to "experiment" with on the little girl later.

“Bring her upstairs.”

She didn’t need to specify whom she meant; the bodyguard already knew.

“Yes, ma’am.”

As the bodyguard turned to leave, he collided with a housekeeper rushing in from the hall.

The housekeeper hurried over to the woman. “Madam, Mrs. Harper Senior is here.”

Liana’s face tightened.

What is she doing here?

The bodyguard lingered, awaiting further orders.

If Mrs. Harper Senior was here, today’s experiment would have to be postponed.

“She’s lucky today. Let her off for now.” Liana passed the implements to the bodyguard with a cold, dismissive gesture.

“Yes, ma’am.”

With that, Liana hurried upstairs.

She changed quickly, and by the time she emerged, Mrs. Harper Senior had arrived.

Liana put on a bright smile and went to greet her.

“Mother, what brings you here today?”

She helped Mrs. Harper Senior to a seat, while a maid brought in coffee, fruit, and pastries.

Mrs. Harper Senior patted Liana’s hand, her expression kind and gentle.

“What’s this? Am I not welcome in my own son’s house?”

“Of course you’re welcome! I’m thrilled you came. If you’d told me earlier, I would’ve made sure the chef prepared your favorite dishes.”

A man like Cyrus, handsome and accomplished, was bound to have a past. Who didn’t?

But she’d been wrong.

Cyrus never let that woman go. Sometimes, he even called her name in his sleep.

Liana had tried to track the woman down, but she’d vanished.

Until, two years ago, Cyrus brought home a little girl.

At first, Liana assumed he’d adopted a child because they had none of their own.

But the more she looked at the girl, the more she saw Cyrus’s features in her face.

Suspicion gnawed at her. Behind her husband’s back, she arranged for a paternity test.

The results hit her like a bolt of lightning.

The girl was Cyrus’s daughter—with that woman.

She’d gotten pregnant after their breakup, given birth in secret, and Cyrus had eventually found out and quietly brought the child home.
