She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 155

The Harper family.

Zachary Harper, the patriarch of the Harper family, stood before a famous painting hung on the wall, his expression somber. The man facing him kept his head bowed low, looking every bit like a child caught misbehaving.

With his back still turned, Zachary sighed deeply. “Marshall, do you have any idea how much this mistake has cost our family?”

Marshall didn’t dare look up. He knew he’d acted recklessly this time, handing over the Goldcrest District property far too easily.

“You’re playing with fire, do you understand?” Zachary’s voice was heavy. “You’ve seen for yourself how the Yorks treat us now. And you just believed the word of some inexperienced kid? He can’t even make decisions for the York family.”

“You’re right, Grandfather. I’ll find a way to get the deed back. I won’t let the Harpers suffer because of me.” Marshall clenched his fist around his sleeve, silently cursing Sabrina with every bit of frustration built up inside.

If it hadn’t been for Sabrina turning the Goldcrest District plot into a gamble, none of this would have happened.

Zachary finally turned to look his grandson in the eyes, disappointment and gravity etched into every line of his face.

“And how exactly do you plan to fix this? The deed is already gone. The Watsons are involved now, too. Repair that relationship—if you can’t, your father will take you to the Glenwood family to apologize in person.”

Marshall nodded obediently, agreeing to whatever arrangement his grandfather saw fit.

Zachary was at least satisfied with his grandson’s willingness to admit fault.

The two spent nearly two hours discussing damage control before Marshall was finally allowed to leave his grandfather’s study.

Back in his own room, Marshall felt restless and agitated. He wasn’t usually one to act on impulse, but this time he’d let his emotions run wild.

He picked up his phone and noticed a message from Celine. Instantly, some of that pent-up frustration faded away.

He unlocked his phone.

*Marshall, are you asleep yet? If you are, I hope you have the sweetest dreams tonight.*

A small smile tugged at his lips as he typed out a reply.

*Not yet. Why aren’t you in bed?*

When Celine saw his response, she nearly burst with excitement—there was so much she wanted to share with him.

But she knew she always played the gentle, thoughtful girlfriend for Marshall. She had to keep that up.

Still, she could barely contain her happiness. She’d just uncovered Sabrina’s secret.

Well, well. The precious Sutton family’s darling daughter. What a joke.

Unable to hold it in, she went upstairs to find her mother, Sommer, and chatted endlessly about funny things that had happened at school. Not a word about Sabrina, though.

God, it was hard not to spill everything. But tomorrow, her mother would know.

She chattered on with Sommer until nearly eleven, when her mother finally shooed her downstairs and told her to get some sleep.

The long night stretched on, but eventually Celine drifted off, her mind still humming with anticipation.

The next morning, Celine made sure to arrive in the dining room just as Sabrina walked in.

“Good morning, Sabrina!” Celine called out sweetly, practically skipping to the table.

Sabrina sat down quietly and began her breakfast, ignoring her.

She had no idea what had gotten into Celine today, or why she’d suddenly decided to sit across from her at breakfast.

Celine hummed a tune as she took her seat opposite Sabrina, completely unfazed by the other girl’s frosty silence. Her mood was simply too good to be spoiled.
