She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 189

Sabrina’s heart sank. “How could they just disappear?”

She fired off the question as she yanked open her car door and hurried toward Faye’s house, her mind racing.

“I...I took them to the park today. I only stepped away to answer a call, just for a minute, but when I turned around they were gone. I looked everywhere I could think of, but there was no sign of them. Where they disappeared was out of sight of the cameras—there’s no footage of that area at all.”

Faye was beside herself, clearly panicked. The moment Yvette and Lennox went missing, her mind had jumped straight to the worst possibility.

Fear, anxiety, despair—they were written all over her face.

“Don’t panic yet. Have you called the police?”

“I have...”

“Alright. I’m on my way.”

The sound of Sabrina’s engine caught Celine’s attention.

Recently, Celine had been avoiding Sabrina, but she’d still kept an eye on her from the shadows. She noticed that every weekend, Sabrina went out and never returned until late at night.

Where was she going, anyway?

She’d left in such a rush just now!

Too bad she couldn’t follow her this time.

Next time, she’d make sure to tail her and find out what she was up to.

Was she sneaking around with some man?

A calculating glint flickered in Celine’s eyes at the thought.

By the time Sabrina arrived at the house, Faye was dialing Cyrus.

Sabrina swiftly reached out and stopped her. “You’re still willing to trust that man?”

“You think he took them?”

“I do.”

He was the only stranger who stood out, the only one who didn’t belong. He must have been waiting for a chance to snatch them and saw his opportunity in the park.

“Did you check the security cameras?”

“I did. It was all in a blind spot—nothing useful.”

As she spoke, tears welled up again. Yvette was the daughter she’d fought so hard to get back. The thought of losing her again was unbearable. What kind of nightmare would her daughter face if she fell into the wrong hands?

“Do you have any footage? Let me see.”

Faye immediately pulled out her phone and sent over the surveillance video. The man causing trouble in the footage wore a hat pulled low, obscuring most of his face—his eyes were hidden.

The park’s security video showed Yvette and Lennox walking off together, straight toward the area the cameras didn’t cover.
