She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 215

Octavia reached out and gently brushed her hand. “Does it hurt?” she asked softly.

Sabrina shook her head. “It doesn’t.”

Octavia held her granddaughter’s hand, her heart aching.

It was only her second day back, and already she could see that Sabrina wasn’t being treated well in the Sutton family.

Sommer’s attitude toward her two other granddaughters was completely different from how she treated Sabrina.

According to Marina—the maid who had served Octavia for years—last night Sommer had spent over an hour in Hester’s room before finally coming out.

At the time, Octavia had thought her daughter-in-law was simply being caring, showing affection to her niece. But now, thinking it over, she realized that wasn’t the case at all.

Hester had always been by her side, so why was she suddenly getting so close to Sommer?

But that wasn’t the main issue.

The real problem was that Sabrina was her biological daughter.

And yet, Sommer had just publicly struck her own child in defense of her adopted daughter.

What kind of mother acts like that?

No protection. No affection. Instead, there was only harsh scolding and a slap in front of everyone.

It was all too strange.

How could her Sabrina’s life be so hard? She had suffered for over a decade away from home, and now, even after returning, her own mother still refused to show her any warmth.

Octavia could only imagine how bitterly disappointed the girl must feel.

With that, Octavia spoke up.

“She grew up in the countryside, wild and unruly, always hanging around with the wrong crowd. Her heart’s twisted—ever since we brought her back to the Sutton family, she’s tried to take over Celine’s room. She’s constantly making trouble for Celine, trying to force her out, picking fights at school, even bullying Celine in front of everyone, humiliating her.”

A gasp rippled through the room.

Desmond hadn’t expected his foolish wife to air all of this in front of Octavia. The worst part was, none of it was truly Sabrina’s fault.

He was nearly beside himself with anger—did his wife really think Octavia was too old to see through her schemes?

She actually hoped Octavia would punish Sabrina for her? What kind of mother did that?

Even Wallace, who had been silent throughout, was shocked by his sister-in-law’s shamelessness.

What kind of mother would accuse her own daughter like this?

He’d looked into things himself. Yes, Sabrina had gotten into a few fights. But every time, it was because someone had said something cruel or done something they shouldn’t have. In his eyes, Sabrina had done nothing wrong.
