She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 227

Tina studied Sabrina’s face, searching for any sign of discomfort or hesitation.

But to her disappointment, the girl in front of her didn’t even flinch. Sabrina’s expression stayed perfectly neutral, but there was a sharpness in her eyes that sent a chill down Tina’s spine.

Suddenly, Sabrina’s voice cut through the room, cold and clear.

“For a moment, I thought I’d walked into the wrong house—maybe the Yorks’ place by mistake. But I see you still remember this is the Sutton family estate, after all.”

Her words sent a ripple through the crowd—stifled laughter, faces turned away to hide their grins.

That’s right. No matter how rough things had gotten for the young lady in the past, no matter how far she’d fallen, that was all behind her now.

She was the Sutton family’s true daughter.

The real deal.

More genuine than pearls.

Tina’s grip on her glass tightened until her knuckles turned white. She fumed in silence, unable to squeeze out a single retort.

With a sharp huff, she turned to leave.

But Sabrina’s voice stopped her, calm and almost bored. “Don’t be in such a hurry. Come with me for a second—I have a secret to share.”

Tina didn’t believe for a second that Sabrina had any real secret for her, but her curiosity got the better of her. Reluctantly, she followed Sabrina out to the side courtyard.

“What secret could you possibly—”

Before Tina could finish her sentence—smack, smack, smack!—three sharp slaps landed across her face, leaving her stunned and reeling.

She opened her mouth to scream, then caught herself. She couldn’t let anyone see her in this pitiful state. Most importantly, no one could know she’d been slapped around by a girl from the countryside.

Gritting her teeth, she swallowed the urge to cry out.

The next moment, she raised her hand, ready to strike back.

But Sabrina moved first, hooking Tina over her shoulder and sending her crashing to the ground. Tina hit the earth hard, tears springing to her eyes from the pain.

Now, for the first time, Tina felt real fear. The girl who’d always seemed frail and delicate was shockingly strong.

“You…” Tina stammered, her bravado slipping away as she stared up at Sabrina.

The moment Sabrina turned to go, Tina’s fear spiked. If Sabrina told everyone her mother’s secret… In a panic, she dropped to her knees.

“Please, I’m begging you. I know I was wrong. I’ll never treat you this way again, I swear. Whatever you want me to do, I’ll do it—just please, don’t tell anyone about my mother.”

Gone was the arrogance from earlier; Tina’s tone was pitiful, desperate.

Sabrina gave a soft, amused laugh. “Alright, as it happens, I do have something you can help me with. Do it well, and I promise I won’t breathe a word about your mother to anyone.”

The moment Sabrina relented, Tina scrambled to her feet, nodding eagerly.

“Ms. Sutton, just name it. As long as it’s not illegal and I’m capable, I’ll do it.”

Sabrina beckoned her closer with a crook of her finger.

Tina leaned in, listening carefully.

When they returned to the main hall, Sabrina’s eyes immediately found Hester, who had somehow appeared next to Celine.

But her own attention never wavered from that tall, slender figure across the room.
