She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 236

How venomous her heart was.

But unfortunately for her, her plan had failed.

If she found out the person she loved most had slept with her own sister Hester, what would she do?

Of course—

She’d seek revenge.

Hester, I’ll leave your fate in Celine’s hands.

Sabrina wanted nothing more than to watch the two of them turn against each other.

She would dismantle everything around her, piece by piece.

Love, friendship, family—each would be tainted by betrayal, slowly but surely.

Let the games begin.

Hope you’re ready.

The next morning.

Hester woke slowly, stretching languidly under the covers.

Her body still felt weak, a pleasant exhaustion lingering from last night.

She had no idea how many times they’d gone at it, but she’d played along with every moment.

Now, feigning innocence, she blinked her eyes open.

The man was already sitting at the edge of the bed.

“You’re awake!”

Marshall’s eyes softened with a hint of a smile as he saw her stir.

Hester just clutched the blanket to her chest, looking lost and uncertain.

Seeing her so demure, Marshall’s tone became gentle and caring.

“Are you feeling alright? Anywhere uncomfortable?”

Hester’s eyes welled up with tears she struggled not to let fall.

“Last night… I… I’m fine.”

Watching her blink away tears, Marshall’s heart was caught between guilt and tenderness.

He reached out, stroking her hair gently.

“I’m sorry about last night. I’ll take responsibility for everything.”

Inside, Hester nearly burst with joy—this was exactly what she’d been waiting for.

Hester sat up, ready to get out of bed.

As she lifted the covers, she realized she was wearing a man’s dress shirt—several sizes too large.

No need to guess; it was obviously Marshall’s.

Marshall rushed to explain.

“Your dress… it tore, so…”

Things had gotten a little too heated last night; he hadn’t even had time to undress her properly and ended up tearing the dress right off.

With her clothes ruined, all he could do was give her his shirt to wear.

Fortunately, he always kept a spare set of clothes in his car, and his assistant had already brought them up that morning.

Hester glanced down at her borrowed outfit, blushing, though inwardly she was quite pleased.

There was a certain charm in a woman wearing a man’s shirt.

She lowered her head shyly and mumbled, “I can’t marry you. Celine loves you so much, and what I did last night… I’ve wronged her enough. I’ll leave Port City as soon as I can. Things can go back to how they were between you and her—I don’t want to come between you two.”

She seemed so determined to consider everyone else’s feelings, never once mentioning her own.

Marshall’s heart softened at her words.

One way or another, he would never let her go.
