**Chapter 347: Malrik’s Condition**

The moment the struggle ceased, a strange calm enveloped Malrik, his eyes returning to their usual hue.

But is he truly alright now?

A wave of concern washed over Corvin as he took a cautious step forward, his hand moving in front of Malrik’s face in an attempt to elicit a response.

“Malrik, are you alright? Why aren’t you saying anything?” he called out, his voice tinged with worry.

Drake, observing the scene closely, furrowed his brow. “What’s going on with him? Why is he not reacting at all?”

Kieran, standing a little further back, voiced his concern. “Do you think we might have inadvertently caused some damage to his mind while we were healing him?”

Silas, who had positioned himself beside Malrik, reached out tentatively and gave him a gentle nudge. “Malrik, can you hear me? If you can, just move your finger for us.”

Silence hung in the air, thick and uncomfortable.

Although Malrik’s eyes were wide open, it was as if a veil had descended over his consciousness. No flicker of recognition, no sign of acknowledgment crossed his features.

A serious expression settled on Silas’s face as he scrutinized Malrik with growing apprehension.

After a moment of contemplation, he spoke in a calm yet concerned tone. “His wounds have healed, his powers seem to have returned, and the effects of the potion appear to have worn off. Yet, something still feels profoundly off.”

At that moment, Lucien’s lightcore vibrated with an incoming message, breaking the tension.

It was from Emma.

Emma’s message read, ‘Lucien, have you located Malrik yet? Celia mentioned she’s sending Dahlia to the wedding room ahead of schedule. Dahlia is already en route!’

After reading it, Lucien turned to the group, urgency lacing his voice. “Emma says that the human woman, Dahlia, is on her way here. We need to get Malrik out of this place first.”

They could always seek a doctor from Aurelia later to examine him properly.

Everyone nodded in agreement; it was the only viable plan at this point. There was no way they could leave Malrik in the hands of the Enchanter Clan any longer.

With a swift motion, Lucien sent a reply.

Lucien typed, ‘Emma, we’ve located Malrik, but his condition is quite complicated. I’ll have Marcus and Silas escort him back to the manor first. I’ll meet you and Edric shortly!’

Just as Lucien dispatched the message, a flicker of movement caught their attention.

“He moved! He moved!” Corvin exclaimed, his excitement palpable as he pointed at Malrik. “I just saw his finger twitch!”

All eyes turned to Malrik, who remained still for a heartbeat before his fingers twitched again, followed by a slight movement of his arm. He blinked a few times, a glimmer of life returning to him.

Then, in a sudden burst of energy, Malrik sat upright.

Edric’s heart raced as he observed Malrik’s eyes; they seemed almost normal again. “Malrik, are you okay now?” he asked, his voice filled with hope.

Malrik turned his head toward Edric, his gaze lingering for a moment, but he remained silent.
