BOOOOM!
Damon was thrown sideways, tumbling through the dark like a stone skipping across water. His body hit the invisible ground hard enough to dent the domain itself. His ribs cracked, then knitted back together. His vision flickered.
The First’s voice resounded everywhere. "You harbor power you do not deserve. You wield forces you do not understand. And you think you can stand before me?"
Six daggers materialized around Damon in a perfect circle. Then they came for him.
SHNK! SHNK! SHNK! SHNK! SHNK! SHNK!
Damon bent, twisted, and forced abyssal essence into his muscles just to dodge by millimeters. Even then, two blades grazed his cheek and thigh, taking another chunk of his health.
This was not good. He needed to conjure a poison field with the abyssal essence to boost his regeneration. Otherwise, he was going to die without even being able to put up a fight.
Damon tried his best to activate the poison field with the abyssal energy, but he couldn’t do it easily like the skills. Or rather, he was able to bring out a weak field which was essentially useless. A weak lightning attack still had an attack power, but a weak poison field did nothing.
Damon even tried summoning [Radiant Wellspring], [Bastion of the Condemned], and [Divine Bladestorm]. But those were even more pathetic.
Abyssal energy was simply wild. The only thing that seemed to work well with it was the Wyrm’s Breath. Even the elemental and blood attacks were only barely acceptable, and such attacks paled in front of the First.
Maybe the small fries of the cult would fall for such half-ass attack power, but the First was already on an entirely different level to begin with. Shadow was also out of the question because there was no way Damon was going to beat the man in his own game.
Clearly, he had been fighting a lot longer than Damon had and had a lot more experience. This once again left him with only one option. His poison. His venom.
Damon exhaled deeply and got right back into it. Even the weak poison domain was giving him some healing, so it was a start. Now all he had to do was crank out the full potential of his venom, mixed in with the abyssal energy, so that it wouldn’t get consumed by the weird domain the bastard had set up.
"Easy peasy," Damon muttered. He forced abyssal essence into his venom glands, into the core of that blood-red toxicity. A terrible burning shot up his throat. His veins glowed black-red. Every nerve screamed in protest. He felt as if he was going to explode from the inside out, but his Nine Million Poison Body held out.
"Poison Domain," Damon snarled. Something weak and pathetic burst outwards.
Damon’s weak poison field flickered, sputtered, and nearly vanished under the oppressive pressure. A cold laughter resounded in the darkness. "It’s futile. You will fall today, and that abomination will be erased."
Damon ignored the guy’s words. He was going to win today, and he was going to hatch his magnificent dragon. One way or the other!
