Swapping a Broken Heart for a New Start novel Chapter 110

That woman... she’s really going through with the divorce???

How could she even dare?

Jordan Smith’s face was thunderous as he flipped through the papers.

Listed on the pages were all sorts of accusations against him.

Stuff like: emotional neglect of his wife, failing to step up as a father, and, of course, being unfaithful in the marriage...

Jordan’s anger was boiling over, his eyes dark and wild with barely contained fury.

Well, Camila Davis. You actually had the guts, huh?

You actually went there.

Sandra Taylor, who had been quietly working nearby, noticed his stormy expression and hurried over. “Jordan, what’s up? You look like you’ve seen a ghost. What’s that document?”

She leaned in, trying to get a peek.

But Jordan snapped the folder shut before she could see, brushing her off. “It’s nothing. I’ve got something to deal with. You get back to work.”

Without waiting for her to press further, he grabbed his coat and strode out of the office, leaving Sandra standing there, confused. Just moments ago, he’d almost lost his composure with her—now he was all cold and distant.

Sandra stared after him, baffled, then turned to Nathan Gates, Jordan’s assistant. “Nathan, what on earth just happened?”

Nathan hesitated, unsure if he should spill the truth. But then he remembered how the boss treated Sandra—with all that attention and care, making it pretty obvious he’d move mountains for her. Now, with the divorce papers officially in play, Sandra Taylor might just become Mrs. Smith before long.

So, Nathan decided not to hide anything. “It’s Mrs. Smith—sorry, I mean, Ms. Davis. She’s filed for divorce. The court summons just arrived.”

Sandra’s eyes went wide, a mix of shock and delight flickering across her face.

So it was official court papers?

She never expected Camila Davis to actually make the first move. She’d always figured Camila was too weak, that she’d have to wait it out until Jordan kicked her to the curb himself.

But apparently, Camila got bold.

The housekeeper, clearly nervous, stammered, “Mrs. Smith left early this morning to take her parents out for the day.”

Jordan’s jaw clenched, frustration simmering. “And Lillian? Did she go with them?”

The housekeeper shook her head. “No, sir. Lillian’s at school.”

Jordan blinked in surprise. “What school?”

The housekeeper hesitated. “Um… Mrs. Smith enrolled her in a private academy nearby. Lillian’s been going for two days now—today’s her third day.”

Jordan’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

He hadn’t even known about any of this.

That Camila, she was getting more unpredictable by the day. Making big decisions like this behind his back?

“What school did she pick? Is Lillian even ready for something like that? Camila’s out of her mind!”
