Aaron blinked in surprise. It wasn’t often Mr. Williams pulled strings like this. “Is everything alright with Ms. Davis?” he asked.

Dennis filled him in with the basics. “I asked her to help out with the Reeds, and she ended up getting treated like dirt. That’s not something I’ll let slide.”

Aaron understood instantly.

“Understood, I’ll call them right away,” Aaron said, already reaching for his phone.
