Panic shot through her, a horrible premonition tightening in her chest.

She snapped, voice shrill with anger, “What the hell are you talking about? I’m pregnant—that’s a fact! There’s a doctor’s report and everything. Why are you saying stuff like this? What’s your problem?!”

Desperate, she turned to Jordan Smith, praying he wouldn’t start doubting her. “Jordan, please don’t listen to her. She’s just making things up to cover for Camila Davis! You know me, right? Ever since I got back to the States, I haven’t been with any man but you. She’s just trying to ruin us and help Camila!”

But this time, Jordan didn’t jump to her defense. Sarah’s words had planted a seed of doubt.

Sandra Taylor’s heart started to race. She clung to Jordan, playing the victim. “Jordan, my stomach hurts. They just can’t stand the thought of me having your child. Don’t listen to them, please! Just have someone throw them out…”

Sarah Brown laughed, seeing Sandra still struggling. “Oh, are you scared now? You really think kicking us out will hide what you did? Go ahead, keep lying if you want. But the truth always comes out.”

She paused, voice sweet as honey but sharp as glass. “These days, DNA testing is pretty advanced. You don’t even have to wait for the baby to be born. In a few months, you can do an amniocentesis and find out if it’s really Mr. Smith’s baby. But before that, I figured Jordan deserved a little heads-up. It’d be a shame for him to raise your ex-husband’s kid and not even know, right?”

If Sandra had only been worried up to this point, now she was terrified. Her face went pale. How did they know about that?

She started trembling, still trying to plead with Jordan, but he was already glaring at her, jaw clenched.

“What ex-husband?” he ground out, voice cold as ice.

Sarah’s smile widened. “Oh, you mean you didn’t know? Her famous ex-husband? Your sweet fiancée here and her ex have been sneaking around. In fact, just a few minutes ago, we saw her ex leaving—right outside the elevator. Mr. Wilson and Camila were there too, so if you don’t believe us, check the hotel’s security footage yourself.”

Jordan’s heart dropped. He had to use every ounce of self-control not to explode right then and there.

The crowd around them erupted in shocked whispers:
