"Alright, we have a lot to do today. Let's get to work," Camila said, steering the conversation away from the topic. "Okay." Jarvis didn't press the issue, and they both dove into their work. During lunch, Camila checked her phone. As expected, there was no word from Dennis. However, the bodyguard he'd assigned her sent a message. Just as they had anticipated, there were suspicious individuals lurking outside the institute, watching her. It seemed The Adams Family had received the news. They weren't just watching Camila; anyone with a close connection to Larry or Dennis was under surveillance. Camila frowned as she read the message. The Adams Family was certainly thorough, leaving no stone unturned. But no secret could be kept forever. How could they expect their evil deeds to leave no trace? Just as she was about to put her phone away, it rang. It was Sarah Brown. "Hello, Sarah? What's up?" Camila answered quickly. Sarah's anxious voice came through the line. "Camila, have you been able to reach Larry? His phone has been off all day. Do you know about his stepmother's birthday banquet tonight? I felt like something was off with him a few days ago, so I didn't want to bother him. But when I tried calling today, I realized he's completely unreachable. Mr. Williams is so close to him; has he been able to get in touch?" Camila and Sarah were as close as sisters and told each other everything. But remembering Dennis's stern warning, Camila couldn't reveal their plan. "I don't know. I can't even reach Dennis today. He had just gotten home from his trip yesterday when he got a call and rushed out. He said it was business, but I haven't heard from him since. I'm worried too. I was planning to go to his place after work tonight to check on him. As for Mr. Adams, I really don't know!" Camila had another reason for not telling the truth. The bodyguard had informed her earlier that Sarah's phone had been secretly bugged. She didn't know what other moves The Adams Family had up their sleeves, and telling one more person would only increase the risk. Knowing how depraved they were, she didn't want to drag Sarah into danger. Sarah was shocked. "What? Mr. Williams is missing too? Camila, do you think something might have happened to them?" Camila hesitated for a second. "I don't know, but... this is Cabinda. Who would dare to touch them here?" "That's a good point," Sarah agreed, trying to think positively. "Mr. Williams's status in Cabinda is immense. No one would be stupid enough to mess with him. Okay, let's not worry for now. I'm invited to the party tonight anyway, so I'll see what's going on then. You're going too, right? We can go together! Mr. Williams and Larry are so close, he'll definitely be at an event like this. Let's just go straight there after work!" Camila considered it. "That could work. I'll call you when I'm done here." "Okay." With that settled, they hung up. Camila stared at her phone. She hoped that was convincing enough. Sarah, completely unaware she was being monitored, felt reassured after the call and focused on her work.
