The Alpha Of The Shadow Pack And His Mute Luna (by Beatrice Putnam) novel Chapter 148

Chapter 148

Vanessa POV

When we woke up that morning, I told Alfred I planned to spar with Stacey today and train. By the look in his eyes, he was not happy that I would be sparring with Stacey. He had no choice but to let me. Stacey showed up and grabbed a couple of bottles of water and

Gatorade out of the fridge.

Are you ready, Luna?”

Yes, I am.”

Stacey and I left the house. Stacey then spoke.

Did you see the look on his face when we left?”

Yes, I did. What is he so worried about, Stacey?”

If I

I knew that Stacy had more experience than I did. That is why I wanted to train with her. She would not hold back or distract me. trained with Alfred, he would try to distract me. I would not complete the training. I need to be able to defend myself without using my wolf powers or my goddess powers. I wanted to be able to perform when I needed to. We got to the karate dojo. I have never been inside a dojo. I was amazed by all the equipment that was there. There were punching bags, kicking bags, and plenty of things to work out. There were numerous mats, and I could see people practicing on them. They were all wearing uniforms and had belts in various colors.

What do those belts mean?”

Stacey explained that the different color belts indicated the various forms and levels of progress they were in. I wanted to work up to the highest belt. I had a lot of work to do. Stacey gave me a uniform and my first belt. It was white. She proceeded to show the form, as she called it. I practiced on that until I could get it right. I got a faint whiff of Alfred’s smell. I knew he would come because that is just who

he is. I knew he was hiding in the shadows, watching us. I didn’t care if he was watching. Stacey could sense him as well.

“Do you want to give him a heart attack?”

Yes.”

She grabbed me by the arm and locked her leg behind mine, and then she pivoted her hip, and I landed on my back. I hit my head a little

hard. When I looked into the corner, I could see his eyes were red. He was getting upset. I then got up off the mat and I did it to Stacey.

She was impressed that I was learning quickly. She was on the ground looking up at me.

Excellent, Luna, you learn fast.”

We practiced a couple more throws. We took a break. After the third time, she taught me to use my butt to throw her over my shoulder. I was enjoying learning. We sat on the mat drinking water. She was telling me stories of when Alfred and she were little girls, learning how to fight. I was enjoying the story. Again, I could smell Alfred. He was watching us. After finishing our water, I changed back into my

workout outfit. Stacey and I decided to go to the track and run around it. I was exhausted after our fourth lap. We went to the gym and showered. I had an extra set of clothes. We changed. My stomach started to growl. I’m hungry. Stracey heard my stomach growl.

“Let’s go get some Chinese food.”

I couldn’t agree more with her. We walked over to a Chinese restaurant and I ordered some food. I ate everything on my plate and was still hungry, so I ordered another serving. The people who ran the restaurant were obviously werewolves themselves, given how significant the portions were. Halfway through my second serving, I was finally full. I got a to-go box. I will snack on it later. After lunch, we went home. Stacey had people to train, and I had laundry to do. I knew Alfred had things to do around the pack. Later, we were going to the hospital to pick up Junior and take him home. I was meeting the nannies today. I walked into the kitchen, and there was food everywhere. The welcome home party was tonight as well.

Hey, Luna.”

“Hey, Mac, everything looks delicious.”

Here, I prepared you a sample plate.”

It looked delicious, but I was full. I decided to try a few of the snacks. I ate the whole plate. Everything was so tasty, I could not help

myself.

“Everything was delicious.”

I went to the bedroom after that. I picked out my light blue dress that I had bought for this occasion. I had also bought Junior a matching

outfit. I had bought Alfred one, but he said he would think about wearing his. If he did, I would be happy if he didn’t. It did not bother

  1. He has the right to choose what he wants to wear to the party. However, I am going to match my pup. I finished getting dressed and

did my hair and makeup. I waited in the living room, waiting for Alfred to return. I read a book and did a puzzle. I was starting to get

upset that it was taking him so long to get here. I got up and went to the kitchen when I heard the front door open. I ran out of the

kitchen, and it was Alfred; he was standing in the living room.

“Where’s the fire?”
