Chapter 133

“One more to go,” James says quietly as we watch the Alphas. walk inside.

“I’ll take him in Communication class. Ezra is a lot like me. I think I know how to break him,” Daniel says.

“How are you going to do that?” Benjamin asks as we all start walking inside.

“By reminding him that no matter how hard he tries, he’s not perfect and he never will be,” Daniel says.

I nod, realizing it’s a good approach, but my focus is on Christina. When we get to the dining hall, she’s not there yet. I know what that means. She broke down. I want to go to her, to comfort her, but I’m pretty sure I’m the last person she wants that from right now.

So, instead, I give her space. I sit in on the Communication class, mostly to keep an eye on her. She’s unusually quiet, having picked at her lunch and not eaten much. clear their head. Fortunately or unfortunately for me, we have the sex class tonight.

Dinner is unusually quiet. I’m not surprised that Christina picks at her food again, or that she doesn’t give out any tokens tonight. That’s also not uncommon during week two. I still give her one for giving me the best fight I’ve ever had. It’s true. When she lets go, she is one of the strongest fighters I’ve ever gone up against and since I train young Alphas for a living, that’s saying something.

When she looks at me, her gaze is tormented, and I struggle to not take her in my arms and hold her.

After dinner, I go straight to the classroom, making sure it’s ready. For once, Christina doesn’t arrive until the other partners arrive. I watch as Mia hugs her before going to her table. Sylvie hugs her next then makes a point to glare at me, as if warning me that I’d better go easy on Christina tonight. I had already planned on it. This isn’t my first time dealing with Alphas during hell week. Although it is the first time that I’ve had such strong feelings for one of them.
