At Felicity's words, the whole family stared at her in shock.
After a long pause, Jason sighed. "He's going to find out eventually. Telling him after they're married would be deceitful. Now, while he's happy about the twins, is the best time."
The family nodded in unison. They would tell Julian everything tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Julian was leading Tiana out of Winona's residential complex. The little girl kept looking back, reluctant to leave.
Seeing Tiana's longing for Winona, Julian felt a sudden surge of frustration. "Your mother isn't coming back. She doesn't want you anymore!"
Tiana flinched, holding back tears. She had learned that crying was useless. Besides, she could tell her father was angry.
Was it because Felicity had big news but wouldn't tell him what it was? Or was it because he had seen Winona and Yves walking together under the dim, intimate lights? Or was it because Tiana herself wouldn't stop asking for her mother?
This marriage had left him completely exhausted. He had been cold to Winona, yes, but that was because he didn't like her. As for Yates not giving her an allowance, he genuinely hadn't known. All in all, he hadn't abused her.
But Winona! She had seen Tiana cry for her so desperately, yet she could still abandon her own child so cruelly. She had acted like she loved him, but in court, she had pulled the rug out from under him, humiliating both him and Felicity in front of the entire city. And now, just a few days after the divorce, she was already with Yves Prescott.
Actually, she had been with him even before they were divorced.
Thinking about it now, Winona's cunning sent a chill down his spine. And he had foolishly believed she was madly in love with him. How laughable.
"Tiana, you need to remember this: your mother has abandoned you! She's no longer a part of our lives. Don't think about her anymore, understand?" Julian had never been so cold to Tiana before, but his mood was truly foul.
He couldn't afford to wallow in a failed marriage. It wasn't worth it. Since Winona had moved on so quickly, he had no reason to feel guilty or dejected anymore.
