The Billionaire Ex-Wife and the Beggar He Became novel Chapter 442

Julian stared at them, speechless.

Felicity smiled at him. "Julian, look how attached the children are to you. They treat you like their real father. I doted on Tiana for years, and she was never as affectionate with me as they are with you. You're so lucky, I'm almost jealous."

An uncontrollable rage simmered in Julian's eyes. Trapped within him, it made the site of his surgery throb with inflammation. He thought that if Felicity weren't pregnant with his children, he might have actually kicked her to death in that moment. If these two weren't minors, he might have done the same to them.

But he could do nothing.

Felicity was pregnant. And the children were just children.

"I'm tired. I won't be joining you. I'm going upstairs to rest," Julian announced, turning his back on the Shepherds and heading straight for his study.

"Does Daddy not like me? I wanted him to hold me," the little girl said, her eyes fixed wistfully on Julian's retreating back.

"I wanted to play piggyback with Daddy," the boy added, his tone full of disappointment.

The little girl burst into tears. "Mommy, I want to play with Daddy…"

Hearing her daughter's cries pained Felicity. She clutched her stomach and followed Julian into his study. "Tired of me already?" she said coldly. "Don't like me anymore? Ready to go back to your ex-wife? Is that it, Julian? Is the grass always greener on the other side? Is what you can't have always the best?"

Julian fixed her with a glacial stare. "Why did you hide the two children from me? I don't care that you weren't a virgin; I'm not one either! But why hide the fact that you have two children?"

She took his hand and placed it on her swollen belly. "Julian, feel them. They're moving all the time. They're our children. Let's just be happy together, okay?"

Just as she finished speaking, a commotion erupted outside the study.

"Who are you? Where did you come from, you little beggar? How did you get into my room?!" It was Catherine, her shriek as sharp as tires screeching on asphalt.

Then came Tiana's confused voice. "But this is my home… this is my room…"

"Get out!" Catherine screamed, shoving Tiana hard. "This is my house! You're not allowed here! Get out!"
