"Go ahead! Call the police! Even if you do, I'm still Gavin Templeton's biological daughter."
Ann wasn't afraid of them calling the police.
She was Gavin's daughter. What did she have to fear?
Just wait.
Even if the police took her away, Gavin would surely come to the station to get her himself.
Meanwhile, at the hospital.
After receiving treatment, Rowena slowly regained consciousness.
Gavin was sitting by her bedside. The moment he saw her eyes open, he asked, "Rowena, are you okay?"
Rowena shook her head. "Gavin, I'm fine. Don't blame Ann. It was my fault for not standing properly. She didn't really push me that hard."
Hearing this, Gavin felt a complex mix of emotions.
After the incident, Ann's first instinct had been to shirk responsibility.
Yet Rowena, the one who had been hurt, was immediately making excuses for Ann.
Truly, some people were just different.
"Rowena, I have eyes. I saw what happened. I know you have a kind heart, but good people are often taken advantage of. I see it now-Ann is just like her mother. Even after all those years with the Gonzales family, she's still an ungrateful wretch."
"Don't say that about a child," Rowena said weakly, but she still took Gavin's hand, her voice filled with understanding. "Whether she's ungrateful or not, she's still your daughter. Fathers and daughters shouldn't hold grudges. Our house is big enough, and the poor girl has lost her mother. You should bring her back to live with us."
"Sister! Are you out of your mind?" Just then, Rowena's younger brother, Ransom Sinclair, stormed into the room. "She's a junior, and the first time she meets you, she puts you in the hospital like this. And you still want her living under the same roof?"
Ransom then grabbed Gavin by the collar. "Gavin, when you wanted to marry my sister, what did you promise me? You said you'd protect her! Is this what you call protection?"
Rowena grew anxious and tried to sit up to stop her brother, but she was still on an IV drip and too weak to move. She could only look at Ransom and say, "Ransom! Let go of your brother-in-law! This has nothing to do with him. I fell by accident."
Seeing Rowena defending him even in her current state, Gavin was filled with guilt. He looked at Ransom. "Ransom, don't worry. I have no intention of bringing that wretched girl back. I've already cut ties with her!"
This was the difference between Rowena and Amanda.
Amanda had only ever put him down and mocked him.
But Rowena always put him first, seeking his advice on everything, big or small. Back when he was just starting his business, they leaned on each other-always seeing things through the other's eyes, always finding a way forward together.
In that moment, Gavin made a clear choice.
He had a wife and a child now.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
