Triplets!
It's rare enough for a family to have twins. But for Caitlin to be expecting triplets - that was truly extraordinary. It felt like winning the lottery.
As a grandfather, Fortune was overcome with joy, but he had to be sure Gordon wasn't just pulling their leg.
Caitlin turned to Fortune and smiled. "It's true, Grandpa. Gordon isn't joking. I'm a little over six weeks pregnant now."
By then, Keira had the report in her hands.
As she read it, her hands began to shake, and her eyes welled up with tears of joy. "It's true, it's triplets! Three of them! The Gonzales family will finally have heirs, we have a future!"
"Thank God, thank the heavens! Not only did I find my daughter-in-law and granddaughter in my old age, but now I'm going to have three great-grandchildren!"
Overcome with emotion, Keira knelt on the ground.
No one could understand the depth of her excitement. After suffering so much in her middle years, she had thought she would live out her days in loneliness.
But now, in her twilight years, she was surrounded by children and grandchildren, enjoying the bliss of a full family.
Stuart and Carey quickly helped Keira to her feet. "Mom, please get up."
In truth, Stuart and Carey were just as emotional. In the blink of an eye, they were going to be grandparents.
Stuart, in particular, could hardly believe it was real. "Carey, am I dreaming?"
To become a grandfather to three little ones all at once.
Stuart couldn't even imagine how lively the house would be once they were born.
"You're not dreaming, you're not dreaming," Carey said, smiling as she took the report from Keira. "Look, the report is right here!"
Keira went to Caitlin's side, her eyes still a little red. "Freya, you must be extra careful now that you're expecting, especially since you're carrying three at once." She then shared a wealth of pregnancy wisdom with Caitlin.
Caitlin listened attentively, not dismissing Keira's advice just because she was a doctor. She knew that sometimes, the experience of elders could be more valuable than a medical degree.
After all, there was a saying in the medical world: old remedies can sometimes outperform famous doctors.
After speaking with Caitlin, Keira turned to Gordon. "Gordon, from this day on, you must take good care of Catie. If anything happens to her or the babies, well, let's just say you'll have me to answer to."
Gordon looked at Keira and said with utmost seriousness, "Grandma, don't worry. I will take care of Catie. I won't let anything happen to her or the babies."

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
