Ten thousand and one roses?
For a split second, the assistant thought he must be hearing things.
He’d worked alongside Gordon for years and knew the man was a workaholic—stingy, too. Even when buying gifts for Beatrice, Gordon always went for something practical. Flowers? Never. In his eyes, flowers were a waste—losing value the moment you bought them. Gordon never made a losing deal.
This habit of Gordon’s had rubbed off on the assistant as well. Whenever he bought gifts for his own girlfriend, flowers were always off the table. After all, if someone like Gordon—perched at the very top of the pyramid—never bought flowers, it couldn’t be wrong to follow his lead.
At first, his girlfriend was pretty unhappy about it. That is, until he brought up Gordon. Once she realized even Gordon never bought flowers, she slowly accepted it.
But now—
What had he just heard?!
Not only did Master Ninth want flowers, he wanted roses. And not just any bouquet—he wanted ten thousand and one of them.
Ten thousand and one. That number meant something.
It stood for love. One in ten thousand—the rarest of the rare.
Was Master Ninth in love?
The thought made the assistant swallow hard. This was unbelievable. This was Master Ninth, after all—a man practically on a pedestal.
Besides, if he remembered correctly, Master Ninth was famously single by choice. The kind of guy who swore never to marry. How could someone like that fall in love?
Trying to steady himself, the assistant asked cautiously, “Master Ninth, did you say… ten thousand and one roses?”
He half-hoped he’d misheard, but Gordon’s next words left him utterly stunned.
“Yes. Order ten thousand and one roses. And also, get an ML bracelet.”
ML—a centuries-old luxury jewelry brand. Once upon a time, only royalty and nobility could wear it.
“Okay, yes, of course.”
Even after hanging up, the assistant still felt like he was dreaming. He raised a hand and slapped himself hard across the face.
Ouch!
A sharp hiss of pain escaped him.
His odd behavior immediately drew the attention of a coworker nearby.
“Waller, are you okay?”

In the backseat of the car, Tammie had just logged into Twitter when a trending headline caught her eye.
#FreyaHasDeletedHerAccount#
Deleted her Twitter?
Tammie stared, not quite able to believe it.
Caitlin had stomped all over Ann’s reputation just to become a huge influencer on Twitter. But now—she’d actually deleted her account?
Not just that. Every photo of Caitlin online had vanished without a trace.
It was as if she’d disappeared from the internet overnight.
Tammie was completely floored. Was this just another publicity stunt to gain followers?
She clicked on the trending topic.
Caitlin’s old Twitter profile now displayed just six bold words.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
