THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 546

Gordon explained, “Because this flight is operated by a subsidiary of the Sylvester Group.” As soon as he learned Caitlin had booked a ticket for this flight, Gordon stopped selling the remaining business class seats to other passengers.

Only economy class tickets remained available to the public.

After three and a half hours in the air, the plane finally landed at The Capital Airport.

Gordon had driven to the airport himself, so after they disembarked, he took Caitlin through the VIP passage straight to the underground parking garage.

It was one o’clock in the afternoon.

Gordon dropped Caitlin off at the entrance to Sylvester Manor.

Usually, Caitlin would have him stop at the first intersection with a red light, but today she had a suitcase, and walking all that way would have been a hassle.

Gordon got out to help her with her luggage, careful not to do anything that looked too intimate. “Text me on WhatsApp later,” he said.

“Alright, I’m heading in now.” Caitlin nodded, then reminded him, “Drive safely, okay?”

“I will. Don’t worry.”

Ann was still staying at the Gonzales family’s house and hadn’t moved out yet.

She happened to be standing on the third-floor balcony and saw everything as it happened. Her expression changed instantly. “What on earth?”

If she wasn’t mistaken, the man who brought Caitlin back was Gordon.

Gordon.

The Sylvester family’s Ninth Master.

How could Gordon be the one to bring Caitlin home?

He was a man at the top of the pyramid—someone even she didn’t dare to dream about. What did Caitlin have that made her worthy?

No one knew what Ann was feeling in that moment.

“Ann, you must have been seeing things. You’re just scaring yourself.”

Amanda’s words made Ann hesitate, doubt creeping in. She rubbed her eyes. “Did I really see it wrong?”

“Of course you did. You were pretty far away, it’s easy to make a mistake. Besides, with Caitlin’s personality, if Gordon really had brought her home, do you think she’d be this calm? She’d make sure everyone knew about it!”

Let alone Gordon personally driving her—if he even glanced Caitlin’s way, Caitlin would be shouting it from the rooftops.

Caitlin and Ann were nothing alike.

Ann was naturally low-key, never one for drama.

Caitlin, on the other hand, was all noise and bravado—empty drum, loudest sound.

Ann nodded, conceding that her mother might have a point. “So who was it who brought her home just now?”
