"Shouldn't Tammie be concerned that Ann could turn out the same way, given her mother?" Benedict thought.
Benedict's question made Tammie's expression darken. Was he looking down on Ann because of her leg? So what if she had a limp? She was kind-hearted, intelligent, talented, and beautiful. Ann hadn't rejected Benedict, yet here he was, already finding fault with her. The injustice of it made Tammie's blood boil.
"Benedict, I'm offering to introduce you to my cousin because you're my best friend and I trust you. I wouldn't do this for anyone else," Tammie said, his voice tight. "Yes, her leg has a slight limp, but it's not congenital. It won't affect the next generation!" Ann was practically flawless. In Tammie's eyes, Benedict was the one getting the better end of this deal.
Benedict tried to backtrack gently. "Tammie, I'm sure your cousin is wonderful, but you know what I'm like. I don't think I'm good enough for her."
The humility in his tone mollified Tammie slightly. "Don't worry about that," he said, smiling again. "My cousin may be exceptional, but she's not materialistic. Even if you're a little rough around the edges, she probably won't mind." He was determined to make this match happen.
Benedict was speechless. "Tammie, I appreciate the thought, really, but I'm not looking for a girlfriend right now." To cut off any further discussion, he quickly added, "Let's get back to the draft."
As she was leaving the store, someone bumped into her hard.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, miss. I didn't mean to."
Ann rubbed her sore arm, annoyed. "Can't you watch where you're going?"

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
