THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 643

Her considerate nature warmed his heart. As she turned to leave, he stopped her. "Hold on, Ann."

"What is it, Tammie?" Ann asked, turning back.

He pulled a card from his desk drawer and handed it to her. "This is my credit card. The PIN is your birthday. Buy whatever you want, eat whatever you like. Just use this."

Ann took the card, her eyes immediately filling with tears. "Tammie, thank you."

"Silly girl," he said, patting her head. "We're family. There's no need for thanks. Just spend it however you want."

She sniffled, looking up at him with heartfelt emotion. "Tammie, I promise I will always be good to you. In my heart, you will always be my family."

"I know," he nodded. "And you will always be my family, too."

After Ann left, Tammie resumed his video call with Benedict. They worked for a while, brainstorming ideas.

Suddenly, Tammie asked, "Benedict, are you still single?"

"That's exactly who I mean." Tammie knew Benedict well. They had been college roommates and business partners for years. Benedict might be a flirt, but he was a good man at heart. He was handsome, educated, and already a millionaire in his twenties. He would make Ann happy, and as her cousin, that's all Tammie wanted.

Benedict, who had been intrigued by the idea of a beautiful woman, felt his interest evaporate. He licked his lips, choosing his words carefully. "Buddy, don't get mad at me for saying this…"

"Go on," Tammie encouraged.

"Isn't there… something wrong with your cousin's leg?" After their last conversation, Benedict had done some digging on Ann. What he found was alarming. Her reputation in the city was in tatters, her mother was a convicted criminal, and she wasn't even related to Tammie by blood. He couldn't fathom why Tammie was so fiercely protective of her.
