Normally, Lindy would wake him at eight o'clock sharp.
Lindy smiled and relpied, "Miss Templeton said you've been working too hard lately and told me specifically not to disturb you so you could sleep in."
A warmth spread through Tammie's chest. Ann was just so thoughtful.
Just then, Ann emerged from the kitchen wearing an apron. "Tammie, just in time! Come and eat. I made breakfast myself this morning."
Ann seemed no different than usual. No one would ever guess what she had done the night before while he was asleep.
Tammie headed straight for the dining room. Ann had always been skilled at making things to please Keira, so her cooking was genuinely excellent. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully arranged.
Seeing the lavish spread on the table, Tammie was amazed. "Ann, you made all this?"
Before Ann could reply, Lindy chimed in, "She certainly did, sir. All of it. I offered to help in the kitchen, but Miss Templeton wouldn't let me. You have such a wonderful family member to be proud of!"
Lindy had a very good impression of Ann, for one simple reason: Ann always let her leave an hour or so early. What employee didn't love a boss who let them go home early?
Tammie was even more pleased to hear this. He sat down at the table, took a bite of a sandwich Ann had made, and gave her a thumbs-up. "This is delicious! You're amazing, Ann!" He thought it was the best sandwich he had ever eaten.
"Thank you, Tammie. I'm glad you like it. I made plenty, so eat up." Ann then ladled a helping of something into a bowl. "This sweet fruit soup is quite good too."
"It's not that," Ann said, running a hand through her hair. "We've just never met in person, you know? We haven't spent any time together, so there isn't much of a spark."
"Oh, I see," Tammie nodded. "Well, Ann, you can trust Benedict's character, and he's a capable guy. I know he's not quite on your level, but a girl can't have too many options. It doesn't hurt to keep a few fish in the pond."
He was genuinely treating Ann like family, offering his honest advice.
But hearing his words, Ann's expression subtly shifted.
So even Tammie knew Benedict wasn't good enough for her.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
