Once Stuart appeared, this impertinent guard would be forced to apologize.
Clark Blake dialed the number. A moment later, a series of beeps indicated a busy line.
*Busy? How could that be?*
A terrible thought crossed his mind: *Did Stuart block me?*
Feeling a sense of unease, he switched to WhatsApp and opened his chat with Stuart. He typed: [Stuart, I'm at your gate. Come out for a minute.]
The next second, a red exclamation mark appeared next to his message.
He had been blocked on WhatsApp too!
Now, Clark Blake was genuinely starting to panic. All he did was sell his shares. Did Stuart really need to be so ruthless?
Tony Dunn walked over to him. Seeing the color drain from Clark's face, he guessed what had happened and sighed. "If even you can't see Mr. Gonzales, then there's no hope for the rest of us."
He ran a hand through his hair in frustration. "If I had known this would happen, I never would have sold my shares!"
He had owned 0.75% of Gonzales Holdings, a stake that could have multiplied a hundred times over in this situation. The news had only just broken, and the company's stock had already hit its daily limit. At this rate, Gonzales Holdings would soon reclaim its former glory. With his 0.75% stake, he could have lived comfortably for the rest of his life without lifting a finger, securing his family's future for generations.
But now, he had nothing.
Clark Blake was, of course, drowning in even deeper regret. He was one of the earliest investors in Gonzales Holdings and held a 4.6% stake, several times larger than Tony's. The thought of the company's future standing in Eldermere made his chest ache with a physical pain.
*No! No! I can't lose this 4.6% stake. I have to see Stuart. I have to make him give me another chance.*
Just then, a luxury car slowly approached.
Clark Blake was stunned, not expecting such a resolute refusal.
"Stuart, we fought side-by-side to build this company! I know I made a mistake, but everyone makes mistakes in life. Please, just give me one more chance! I promise, it will never happen again!"
Stuart closed his eyes, about to say more when—
*Click!*
The rear door of the car swung open.
Caitlin stepped out. "I'm sorry, but Gonzales Holdings doesn't take back deserters."
Clark Blake frowned at the sight of her.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
