To prove his sincerity, Keeley raised three fingers and began to swear an oath to the heavens.
Darcey turned to him. "Mr. Prescott, since you can guarantee the truth of your statements, all you need to do now is wait for the court date."
"Okay," Keeley nodded. "Is there anything else I need to do?"
"For now, you need to help me gather some evidence to submit to the court," Darcey explained. "Then we'll file a motion to freeze the four brothers' assets to prevent them from transferring the funds in the short term." If they moved the money, all their efforts would be for nothing.
Keeley nodded again in agreement.
Darcey was not only highly capable but also incredibly efficient. By the next morning, she had gathered all the necessary evidence and submitted the asset freeze request. Once the relevant departments verified the situation, the four brothers' accounts would be frozen.
Meanwhile, Sloan was on a tropical island vacation with his wife, Hazel, and his in-laws. They were staying in the best hotel, dining on the finest food, and thoroughly enjoying the life of the wealthy.
Right now, Sloan and Hazel were taking her parents through the island's largest shopping mall, which was filled with luxury brands. As they walked, Hazel's mother was captivated by a gold bracelet in a display window and stopped in her tracks.
Sloan turned to her. "Mom, do you like that bracelet?"
Hazel's mother first nodded, then quickly shook her head. "It must be very expensive, right? Never mind, I don't need it."
The price of gold was climbing every day; a large gold bracelet like that would cost at least three thousand dollars.
Sloan grinned. "If you like it, we'll buy it. Money's the last thing I'm worried about right now." He was a man with over half a million dollars to his name. What were a few thousand?
Hearing this, Hazel's father chimed in, "Sloan, you can't play favorites. If you're buying her a bracelet, you have to get me a ring, right?"
"Of course, we'll get both!" Sloan agreed generously.
Hazel beamed with pride, seeing how well her husband treated her parents. "See, Mom, Dad? I told you Sloan isn't a cheapskate! Go on, pick what you want, and Sloan will pay for it."
"Alright, alright!" Her parents eagerly started choosing their jewelry.
Soon, they had made their selections. The sales associate smiled. "You both have excellent taste. These are our best-selling models this year. The total comes to $9,500. Will that be cash or card?"
"Card," Sloan said, pulling a bank card from his wallet.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
