"It's just as well," Fortune nodded. "We'll be able to see each other often."
At their age, it was good to have someone to rely on.
Keeley then turned to Caitlin. "Catie, I'm thinking of moving into a retirement home. Do you know of any reliable ones you could recommend?"
"Actually, I do," Caitlin replied. "My family's company owns a retirement community. It's a bit different from a typical nursing home—the management is more personalized and it offers more freedom. The living conditions are excellent, and they even provide one-on-one concierge services. When we get back to The Capital, I can take you for a look. If you like it, I can get you a discount."
Keeley's face lit up. "That would be wonderful! Thank you, Catie, for the trouble."
Caitlin was now the only person Keeley fully trusted. He had no doubts about a retirement community run by her family.
Caitlin had booked their flight for the next day. That afternoon, back in town, Keeley bought some flowers and went to visit his parents' graves. Fortune accompanied him.
Kneeling before his mother's tombstone, Keeley spoke softly as he laid the flowers. "Mom, your son is moving to The Capital. I might not be back again. You and Dad take care of yourselves down there..."
At eight o'clock the next morning, the three of them boarded the flight to The Capital. Darcey didn't return with them; her hometown was also in Portchester, and she wanted to take the opportunity to visit her parents. Caitlin had given her a ten-day leave to spend time with her family.
At 11:30 a.m., the plane landed on time at The Capital Airport.
"Catie, Mr. Kensington, over here."
As Caitlin emerged with her suitcase, she saw a tall, elegant figure standing near the arrivals gate. It was early September, and autumn had already arrived in The Capital. The man was dressed in a suit with a black overcoat, looking as if he had just stepped out of a board meeting.
"Gordon Sylvester?!"
Caitlin had told her family she was coming back today but hadn't specified the flight time. She certainly hadn't told Gordon. Seeing him at the airport was a complete surprise.
"Vest!" Fortune, who was very fond of Gordon, broke into a wide smile. He pulled Keeley over. "Keeley, let me introduce you. This is Catie's boyfriend, Gordon."
Though young, Gordon possessed an extraordinary air of authority. Just standing there, he exuded an imposing presence. Keeley could tell at a glance that he was a man of considerable status.
"Mr. Sylvester," Keeley greeted him.
Gordon smiled warmly. "Please, Keeley, no need for formalities. Catie has told me about you, and that you and Mr. Kensington are very good friends. You can call me Vest."
Keeley was taken aback. The young man, despite his obviously high station and cool demeanor, was much more approachable than he had expected.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
