The Ex-Wife's Triumph novel Chapter 172

"Shut up!" Thurston grabbed a banana from the fruit bowl and hurled it at Ethan.

"You've been single since birth—where do you get the confidence to teach anyone about romance?"

Ethan dodged with practiced agility, shouting back indignantly, "I may lack field experience, but my theoretical knowledge is vast! Don't look down on me!"

Thurston didn't argue further—technically, Ethan wasn't wrong. He turned back to the silent Kingsley, his tone softening.

"As your brother, I obviously want you to be happy. But seriously, pick someone else. Stop tormenting Lucy."

Kingsley raised a brow, his eyes cold but his voice unusually firm. "Only her."

Ethan immediately slapped Kingsley on the shoulder, feigning total support. "Brother, I'm with you! It's rare for you to actually care about someone. And honestly, Lucy is way better than Miss Mason. Leagues ahead!"

He turned to Thurston, winking exaggeratedly. "You're just scared Kingsley will fail and take it out on you, or that Jane will yell at you for meddling. Typical—scared of your wife and your bro!"

Thurston kicked Ethan's chair. "Get lost. Quit spouting nonsense."

Ethan chuckled, pulling out his phone. "Hey, Second Brother, see? I'm the one who's true to you. I'm going to help build the foundation of your happiness! I'll buy you some books on winning a wife back. Study hard."

He pulled up a shopping app, typed in "how to win your wife back," came up empty, and settled for five standard dating advice books. With a single click, he ordered the whole set, sending them to the Sherwood Group's main address.

Order placed, he leaned in again. "Hey, want me to sign you up for a crash course in romance? Professional guidance, satisfaction guaranteed!"

Kingsley remained silent, his expression darkening by the second.

He slumped back down, muttering, "Forget it. The money bag left. No point staying here."

Meanwhile, Kingsley got into his car and gave a direct order to Shane in the passenger seat.

"Go buy some sugarcane."

Shane froze, looking confused. "...Sugarcane?"

Kingsley lifted his eyelids, his gaze flat. "Was I unclear?"

Shane snapped to attention. "Crystal clear!"
