After leaving the Sherwood Group, Lucy went straight to buy gifts for Seven.
When she returned to the hotel with Emma after shopping, Wyatt's voice call came through, inviting her to dinner.
Lucy accepted happily and brought Emma along.
When the two arrived at the restaurant, Wyatt was already there.
Today, he wasn't wearing his signature floral shirt. Instead, he had changed into a sharply tailored white shirt and white trousers. He radiated a crisp, sunny vibe, overflowing with youthful energy.
Seeing Wyatt clearly, especially that striking silver hair paired with his standout features, Emma couldn't help but whisper, "He's so good-looking, he puts those debuted boy band members to shame."
She turned to Lucy and added, "Lucy, how is everyone you know so top-tier? That was definitely a compliment!"
Lucy smiled at that, her tone carrying a familiar pride. "He was born good-looking. A handsome kid."
Seeing them enter, Wyatt stood up immediately to greet them. "Lucy!"
Lucy introduced everyone. "Wyatt, this is my assistant, Emma."
Then she turned to Emma. "Emma, this is Wyatt Sterling. A younger brother I watched grow up."
Introductions over, Wyatt handed the menu to Lucy, speaking cheerfully. "Lucy, look at what you want to eat. My treat today!"
Lucy passed the menu to Emma beside her, teasing affectionately, "The specialty dishes here are quite good. No need to save money for him; Mr. Wyatt Sterling empire has plenty of cash."
Wyatt immediately played along, adopting the typical persona of a rich playboy. He waved his hand dismissively. "I'm not short on money. Order whatever you want."
Lucy smiled, a gentle understanding in her clear eyes. "You can say that because you have people to fall back on, Wyatt. But there's a world of difference between not wanting to do something and having to do it when your back is against the wall."
At that moment, she seemed to see her former self in him—when she first graduated, she was just like Wyatt, not working, drifting through days in a haze.
It wasn't until later, when she was left with only herself, that she had no choice but to start from zero and shoulder all the responsibility.
After ordering, Emma stood up and said, "I'm going to the restroom," temporarily leaving the table.
Joyce happened to be dining at this restaurant with friends. When she looked up and saw Wyatt and Lucy sitting at the same table, anger instantly ignited in her eyes.
She finally understood why Wyatt had been harassing her previously—the root of it all was Lucy.
She quietly filmed a video and sent it to Kingsley, attaching a message.
