The Ex-Wife's Triumph novel Chapter 62

After dinner, Lucy had originally planned to return to the hotel with Emma.

However, upon hearing they intended to visit The Capital Plaza at midnight, Wyatt's interest was piqued, and he insisted on tagging along.

Lucy glanced at him and asked directly, "What car are you driving today? Can it fit the three of us?"

"Even if it can't, it's no problem," Wyatt said. As soon as he finished speaking, he made a phone call. After giving a few brief instructions, he turned to Lucy with certainty. "Someone will be here to pick us up in twenty minutes."

Lucy nodded, then turned to Emma. "Where else do you want to go? I'll show you around properly tonight."

Emma's eyes lit up. "I want to try the blue cheese, and see the night view."

"You have quite the unique taste!" Wyatt nearly spat out the water he had just sipped, giving her a thumbs-up while coughing.

"I just want to try it," Emma explained with a smile. She knew, of course, that the local blue cheese was an acquired taste not everyone could handle.

Lucy patted her shoulder and asked, "Do you want roast chicken?"

"No, it's too greasy!" Emma shook her head decisively.

After waiting for about ten minutes, a black sedan pulled up steadily in front of the three of them.

Wyatt gentlemanly opened the rear door. After Lucy and Emma were seated, he went around to the front and sat in the passenger seat.

Along the way, Emma's questions never ceased, ranging from the history of roadside buildings to local customs. Lucy and Wyatt answered patiently, acting as her exclusive tour guides.

Lucy gazed out the window. The night view of The Capital was particularly brilliant under the lights.

Even though she was leaving tomorrow, she felt no reluctance, only a sense of calm. If not for work, she wouldn't have returned to this city so easily.

Once in the room, he ordered tea and dim sum, then turned to Emma. "They don't serve blue cheese here, but I've already sent someone to buy it. It'll be here soon."

Emma immediately cast him a grateful look. Wyatt waved his hand, smiling. "Just a small matter!"

At that moment, Lucy put away her phone and stood up. "I'm going to the restroom."

"Lucy, do you want me to go with you?" Emma asked quickly.

"No need, just enjoy the view," Lucy said before turning and leaving the room.

Walking out of the private room, Lucy glanced at the sign on the wall and headed toward the restroom.

Her phone vibrated in her pocket. Taking it out, she saw a video call from Jules. Upon accepting, Seven's chubby little face appeared close to the camera, causing the corners of her mouth to curve into a soft smile.
