The Ex-Wife's Triumph novel Chapter 70

A few days later at the airport in Switzerland.

Just as Kingsley stepped out of the VIP channel, he saw Ethan leaning against a pillar nearby, obviously waiting for him.

He turned sideways and asked Shane beside him, "How did he know I was coming to Switzerland?"

Shane immediately shook his head, his tone certain. "I didn't mention it to anyone. Dr. Sterling never contacted me."

Kingsley didn't probe further, his brows knitting slightly—he already had the answer in his heart.

Ethan walked up with a smile, his tone teasing. "Mr. Kingsley, did you miss me? Did you chase me all the way to Switzerland just to see me?"

Before he finished speaking, he reached out to hug Kingsley, but Kingsley raised a hand and blocked him firmly by the chest, preventing him from getting any closer.

Ethan wasn't annoyed by the rejection. The smile on his lips deepened as he asked, "Does this mean my status in your heart is higher than Thurston's?"

Kingsley glanced at him, his tone cold. "Where does your confidence come from?"

"Naturally, you gave it to me."

As Ethan spoke, he suddenly produced a rose from behind his back and held it out. "Here, I brought this especially for you. I didn't come empty-handed."

The flower was actually something he had pestered the hotel front desk for before coming to the airport.

Kingsley glanced at the flower, his tone merciless. "Where did you swipe that weed? Keep it for yourself."

Seeing he wouldn't take it, Ethan didn't fuss. he turned and shoved the flower at Shane. "Shane, it's yours. My boss, you know... he just has no romance in him."

Shane looked at the rose, whose petals were slightly wilting, and said helplessly, "Dr. Sterling, I'm a straight guy. I really can't appreciate this romance either."

Ethan laughed out loud at that. "He totally takes after his boss."

"In the prime of my youth, I still want to struggle a bit more!"

Ethan immediately put on a pitiful expression, the rims of his eyes reddening slightly as if he were about to burst into tears at any second.

Kingsley placed the water bottle back in the cup holder and mercilessly exposed him.

"You just burn money."

This instantly hit a sore spot for Ethan. He bristled, his volume rising a few notches. "Get lost! What scientific research doesn't cost money? What does a filthy rich capitalist like you know!"

"Since I don't know, then ask me for an investment."

Kingsley retorted lightly, perfectly blocking Ethan's words.

Ethan's arrogance instantly deflated by half. He softened his tone, reached out to grab Kingsley's wrist, and wheedled, "My bro, who are we to each other? We're brothers for life. Besides you and Thurston, who else do I know?"
