The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 501

Someone grabbed the phone from Mr. Lynch, and suddenly Grandma Chelsea’s voice came through, full of shock. “Lilly, what did you just say? Ella’s pregnant?”

Grandma Chelsea was staying with Mr. Lynch, so she’d heard everything.

Lilly had promised Ella she wouldn’t tell anyone about the pregnancy, but right now, promises didn’t matter. She just needed Ella and the baby to be safe.

“Yes,” Lilly said, her voice barely holding steady. “Ella’s pregnant. She’s carrying David’s baby. That’s the Harmon family’s first grandchild.”

Grandma Chelsea sounded stunned, happy, and scared all at once. “Why didn’t anyone tell me? Allie, stay calm. Your father and I are coming right now. Have you tried to reach David? He’s the father.”

“I can’t get through to him,” Lilly said, her voice thick with panic. “His phone just keeps ringing.”

Grandma Chelsea banged her cane on the floor. “That fool! He’s about to be a father and he doesn’t even care about his kid. When I find him, I’m gonna teach him a lesson.”

The call ended. There was no time for anything else. Both the Harmon and Lynch families were already on their way.

Lilly was shaking so badly her hands wouldn’t stay still. She kept thinking they were already too late. Ella had gotten there more than half an hour before she had.

Suddenly, Lilly remembered someone else who could help.

She grabbed her phone and dialed.

Someone picked up almost immediately. A deep, cool voice answered. “Hello?”

Lilly clutched the phone, her eyes filling with tears. “Jace, please, I need your help. You have to come now.”

There was a pause. “Where are you?”

She rattled off the address.
