As Finnegan made the call, Firebird Group fell into deep trouble.

The Langdon family, along with the Haimowitz, Miles, and Chappell families, unilaterally terminated the collaboration they had recently established with Firebird Group.

Hospitals, clinics, and medical teams that had long-term collaborations with Firebird Group also issued notices to terminate their partnerships with the group.

From then on, they would no longer procure drugs from Firebird Pharmaceuticals, nor would they patronize any restaurants under Firebird Gourmet.

Additionally, citing a shortage of supplies, the suppliers of Firebird Group had cut off their services to the company.

This led to a dramatic plunge in Firebird Group's stock price, dropping eighteen percent immediately after the afternoon opening and getting suspended.

This left Bishop, who had just become the chairman and was planning to celebrate with a few old friends that night, dumbfounded. “How could this happen?”

“Mr. Zimmerman, now is not the time to investigate what happened, but rather, we should focus on finding a solution.”

“If this continues to escalate, Firebird Group could potentially shrink by half. You need to think of a solution quickly.”

“What on earth is happening? The new Chairman had just taken on his role. It's unbelievable!”

“The Langdon family leading the effort is a sign for everyone to follow. Has your family offended them?”

“If the Zimmerman family doesn't provide a reasonable explanation, we, the board of directors, will have to take harsh measures!”

All the board members and senior executives, however, didn't concern themselves with the details. They all focused on Bishop, pressing him for a solution.

Bishop, who was incompetent, was sweating anxiously. “Everyone, please don't panic,” he said. “I will definitely come up with a solution.”

An older, more experienced shareholder grumbled, “You'd better come up with a solution, or don't be surprised when I invoke the original stock agreement to demand that the Zimmerman family buy back my shares at full price.”

The other shareholders chimed in one after another, “That's right. If your family can't resolve this, then you'll have to compensate us for our losses.”

Bishop's face had turned pale. He truly had no experience in handling such situations.

Queenie quickly intervened. “Everyone, please stop arguing. We will deal with this to your satisfaction.”

“Exactly, exactly.” Bishop nodded hastily. “Please don't worry.”

Upon hearing Bishop's reassurance, the group of shareholders finally calmed down and left with the rest of the senior management.

Once they were all gone, Bishop's temper flared up immediately.

He banged his office desk. “Tell Cindy to come here. Just what is our head accountant doing? How come there were no signs at all?”

Queenie furrowed her brows. “Dad, have you forgotten that Cindy called Grandpa early this morning to resign? Didn't Grandpa agree that she doesn't need to come anymore?”

The bewildered Bishop quickly regained his composure.

His face grew considerably anxious. “What should we do? Your uncle and Bernice have left, and now Cindy is also gone. What should we do? And what on earth is going on? Why would everyone suddenly decide to terminate their collaboration with Firebird Group?”

Queenie gave a bitter smile. “Isn't it obvious? Why did the Langdon family, along with the Haimowitz, Miles, and Chappell families, want to collaborate with us?”

Upon hearing this, Bishop pondered for a moment before the answer dawned upon him. “It's Finnegan!”

All those families had only agreed to cooperate with Firebird Group out of respect for Finnegan.

Otherwise, the Firebird Group was simply not worthy to collaborate with them.

Now that their collaboration had abruptly ended, it was certainly due to Finnegan.

Queenie nodded. “It's definitely Finnegan. No one else could have done something like this.”

Bishop gritted his teeth and said, “D*mn it, that b*stard sure is despicable. Let's go. We're heading home to see your grandparents!”
