The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 702

Zachary stared at Sky thoughtfully. "Mr. Walker, this project involves a huge sum of money, with significant potential returns. However, the contract barely offers any benefits to Walker Group, and they've taken on all the upfront investment.

"This kind of deal, where it seems like you're just giving money away, isn't something a typical businessman would agree to. Do you think the Walker family and the other members of Walker Group will agree to this?"

"They will," Sky answered calmly, sipping his tea. "This decision reflects my parents' wishes. The initial investment won't come from Walker Group, but from my parents and me.

"You're right, Mr. Holt. We are giving Sophia money. It's both an apology and a gesture of gratitude. If you don't trust me, then trust my parents. This contract and project are our sincere way of apologizing and thanking Sophia."

Zachary turned to Sophia, who was also watching him.

"Sophia, do you want to sign this contract?" Zachary asked.

Sophia bit her lower lip. Though she didn't fully understand the project or the benefits, she understood the conversation between Zachary and Sky. William, Charlotte, and Sky were offering her a significant amount of money.

Sky might face pressure from Walker Group, but all the benefits and profits would be hers.

If Sky had been his old self, she would've been determined to get her revenge. But now, with his much more considerate attitude, she felt conflicted.

She was someone who always felt the need to repay kindness.

"I can sign the contract, but you can't be at a disadvantage," Sophia said after a moment. "Zachary, talk to Mr. Walker about it. I can ask for more, but the Walker family can't get nothing out of this.

"Besides, Nat saved me once. If it weren't for her, I might not be here now, facing all of this. Let's keep things fair. Mr. Walker, if you agree, feel free to revise the contract."

Sky looked at her in surprise. "Sophia, you don't have to do that. This is something we are doing willingly. I want to atone and make amends. I'm glad you gave me the chance, and I'm happy for it. You don't have to worry about fairness or whether we'll be at a disadvantage. As long as I have the chance to atone, that's enough for me."

Sky smiled faintly. "Thank you for your kindness and generosity, Sophia. I really appreciate it, but there's no need to change the terms of the contract."

"Sophia, since Mr. Walker says so, I think you should just accept it," Zachary said, handing the contract to her. "I've checked it over, and there's nothing wrong with it. You can sign it."

"Not just yet," Sky said suddenly. "You asked me to deal with Samuel, and I have a plan. Let's set a date to officially sign the contract, and we can invite Samuel along. The contract will be signed at Sinclair Group.

"Today, you can take the project to Sinclair Group for a meeting and discuss the details. Once you set a date, let me know, and I'll come to sign the contract with Samuel present."

Zachary and Sophia exchanged a glance, then nodded in agreement.

Sophia said, "Alright, it's settled then."

Sky nodded.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. "Excuse me, the dishes are ready."

"Come in," Sky replied.

The waiter entered, bringing in each dish one by one.

Soon, the table was filled with food. "Please enjoy your meal. If you need anything, just ring the bell."

"Thank you," Sky replied.

"By the way, the Holt family can also participate in this project," Sky said with a smile. "Mr. Holt, you can discuss it with your parents when you get back and evaluate it internally at your company."

Zachary nodded. "Alright, thank you. Mr. Walker, let's eat."

"Mr. Holt, enjoy your meal," Sky responded.

Zachary then turned to Sophia and helped her with some food. "Sophia, make sure you eat more."

Sophia smiled gently at him. "I will. After this meal, I'll go back and discuss it with the executives and senior shareholders at Sinclair Group. If everything looks good, we'll sign the contract as soon as possible."

She could hardly wait to see the moment Samuel was called in to witness the contract signing.

"Alright, but first, let's eat," Zachary said with a smile, continuing to pile food onto Sophia's plate.

Sky watched from across the table, and for a brief moment, he felt a pang of envy.

If he hadn't been so foolish and reckless in the past, he and Sophia might have already been marriedβ€”perhaps even had children by now.

However, love and fate were strange things, and destiny was even harder to grasp.

Sky and Zachary raised their glasses, and the two of them drank once more.

As they ate and talked, the tension slowly faded. The old grudges and bitterness weren't completely gone, but they were close to being resolved.
