Sierra's sudden calmness was unsettling. She was composed, reasonable, and almost too agreeable. These were the very words Samuel had been dreaming of hearing. Yet, now that he was actually hearing them, they felt oddly unreal.
She quietly went to find Walter, spoke to him briefly, then explained the situation to the police officers. After that, she wheeled Samuel out.
Once they were outside, Sierra looked across the street at Sky. "Sky, I'm sorry. I've dragged you into my personal mess. As for the job, I want to put it on hold for now. Once things settle on my end, I will reach out to discuss it."
Sky gave a small nod. "That's fine. You can come to me anytime."
He shot a cold glance at Samuel. Sophia had asked him to deal with Samuel, but he hadn't made a move yet.
He was still under parole supervision. He couldn't afford to land himself in trouble again. If something needed to be done, he had to make sure it was clean and legal.
Sky looked at Samuel and gave a slight nod. "Speedy recovery, Samuel."
Samuel snapped, "What's that supposed to mean? Say it as it is. Are you happy my leg's broken? Don't forget what you did to my sister!"
Sky's expression didn't change. "Does Sophia even acknowledge you as her brother, Samuel? Does Ms. Blair acknowledge you as her son? Since your return, has she seen you even once? Have you set foot in their home? If not, maybe stop calling yourself Sophia's brother. Honestly, you're worse than I am."
With that, Sky turned and walked to his car without another word.
Samuel couldn't hold it in anymore. He started shouting like a madman. "Sky! Come back here! Say it to my face. What gives you the right to talk about my family?"
Sierra sighed, clearly fed up. She pushed Samuel's wheelchair forward, then let go. The wheelchair began rolling down the slope.
Samuel panicked and forgot to hit the brakes. "Sierra, what are you doing? Help! Move! Somebody help!"
Sierra stood calmly at the top of the slope, watching the wheelchair speed down and crash straight into a stone bollard, flipping Samuel onto the ground.
Walter walked up beside her. "Ms. Remington, are you sure you're not filing for divorce?"
"Not for now," Sierra said softly. "If Samuel wants to play dirty, then I'll play along. If he refuses to divorce me, fine. I'll just become a widow."
Walter gave her a calm look. "Ms. Remington, I have a friendly reminder for you. This is Dithoria, so be careful not to cross any legal lines."
Sierra nodded. "Alright. Thank you, Mr. Watson. I'll be in touch if I need anything."
"Of course. I'm just a phone call away," Walter replied.
Glancing coldly at the sprawled Samuel, he added, "Looks like Mr. Sinclair's recovery is going to take a little longer now."
Sierra gave a faint smile. "That's fine. As his loving wife, I'll take good care of him. After all, he's been shouting through the loudspeaker about how much he loves me and can't live without me. It's truly heartbreaking. I couldn't possibly be the one to walk away now."

This one gets us readers asking for more! Excellent story, great twists......
Hope Grandpa Charles lives long enough to see Marcus and Nat's children, please. It will make him happy to see life is still worth living and that he didn't fail raising Marcus at least. Let him be happy at least in this aspect. Thanks...
Finished till 538....Waiting for more...
This really hurts. I am confused if Yvette sent a msg saying old love to Charles through Charlene. Why isnt it in her confession. Or did she actually set vivian up into sleeping with that man? And later blackmailed vivian with it till vivian commited suicide? Did Yvetty yhinks Charles would marry her after vivians death but he remained loyal. Hence her anger?...
Hope Nat can cure Marcus' mom. Looking forward to new updates. Thank you...
When will other chapters be updated...
Every chapter gets sweeter..and oh! I'm sure Nat's new patient is Marcus' mom - though the illness is quite intriguing....anyway, looking forward for the next updates! Thank you...
