The Invisible Wife Turned Savage novel Chapter 234

**Chapter 234: Misunderstood Care**

Estella found herself lost in thought, pondering a question that had lingered in her mind. Did faith truly vary from one place to another, or was it a universal thread that connected all hearts?

As she reflected, her admiration for Madam Rosemary deepened. The elderly woman had a quiet strength about her, a serene demeanor that stood in stark contrast to the chaos of the world. She never barged into her grandson’s home, nor did she unleash her frustrations upon anyone. Such restraint was a rare gem, a quality Estella held in high regard.

With a gentle smile, Estella said, “Grandma, it’s perfectly fine if you decide to head back. Didn’t you mention that you have a great-grandson? Spend more time with him; it will surely lighten your heart.”

Madam Rosemary nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with a mix of pride and concern. “Yes, that’s true. If this grandson refuses to find his way, at least I have others to cherish.”

She was about to add, “And can you imagine my surprise—having you living right next door to my grandson…”

But just as the words were about to escape her lips, her phone rang, interrupting the moment.

“Jeremy,” she read on the screen, her heart quickening.

“Grandma, I have some bad news,” Jeremy’s voice came through, laced with urgency. “The altar you left at the old house—Bobby knocked it down. It broke. Please don’t be upset.”

Madam Rosemary felt a pang of disappointment. The altar held so many memories, but even that paled in comparison to the love she felt for her great-grandson.

“Was Bobby hurt?” she asked, her voice tinged with concern.

“No, he’s fine, but he was scared. We’ve all tried to calm him down, but nothing seems to work. We’re at a loss here,” Jeremy replied, relief washing over him that she cared so deeply.

“It’s because none of you know how to take care of him properly. Useless, the lot of you. I’ll handle it,” she declared, a fierce determination igniting within her.

Seizing the opportunity, Jeremy coaxed her further. “Yes, Grandma, you really need to come back quickly. Do you think Bobby breaking the altar will bring down some sort of punishment? I don’t understand these things—you need to come see for yourself.”

“Don’t talk nonsense,” Madam Rosemary snapped, her voice firm. “God would never blame a child for such an accident. But… I will be on the next plane home.”

As she hung up, she turned to Estella, her demeanor shifting from contemplative to resolute. “We’ll talk again later. I must go home and comfort my great-grandson.”

With that, she swept away with a newfound sense of purpose, her frail figure transformed into one of strength and determination.

Estella chuckled softly to herself. As long as her grandmother’s spirits remained high, she felt reassured about her health and well-being.

When Estella finally arrived home, she was greeted by the sight of Selene struggling to drag a suitcase, chatting animatedly with Harry at the door.

“Oh, you’re into those celebrities too? Great taste! They were my idols when I was younger. If they ever tour nearby, we should definitely go see them together!” Selene exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

“Absolutely! Grenton is right next to Harbortown; it’s just a quick train ride away,” Harry replied, his tone equally animated.
