Primrose knew that for nobles, sharing the same bedroom was almost unheard of. Most preferred their own space, their own privacy, and hated the thought of having their sleep disturbed.

But for her, it was different. Primrose didn’t feel the need for that much privacy. What she wanted most was to stay close to her husband because she loved his presence too much, and on days when she couldn’t see his face, she always felt a little sad and empty inside.

Besides, it was pointless for them to even have separate bedrooms when Edmund had already filled her chamber with so many spying devices.

"If you think my room’s too small, we can move to yours," she offered gently, sitting up and tilting her head when he still didn’t respond. "Or ... do you not want to share a room with me?"

She tried to sound casual, but there was a flicker of vulnerability in her voice.

"But my bedroom might be too small for both of us." Edmund quickly added before Primrose could say anything. "I can ask the builders to create a new one for us, and I’ll make sure it’s two times larger than my current room."

Primrose blinked several times, trying to process his words because he spoke too fast.

[I need to make sure there’s enough space for her vanity table, so she can get ready more comfortably. Or ... maybe I should ask the builders to design a walk-in closet big enough for all her beauty products.]

[What color should we use for the new bedroom? Maybe light green? My wife loves that color ... or maybe she wants something else?]

"Edmund," Primrose softly called his name, snapping him out of his whirlwind of thoughts. "I think your current chamber is already big enough for both of us."

The Queen’s chamber, which Primrose occupied now, was already spacious, but the King’s chamber was nearly twice as large and was, in fact, the biggest bedroom in the entire palace.
