The Sickened Luna's Last Chance novel Chapter 383

**The Perfect 383**

**Chapter 383**

**Alexander’s POV**

The atmosphere of the gala was electric, buzzing with excitement and anticipation. The Oxfords had truly surpassed all expectations; in the span of just two days, they had transformed their sprawling estate into a dazzling spectacle of lights, colors, and laughter. Every detail was meticulously arranged, from the ornate centerpieces to the carefully curated playlist that filled the air with a lively rhythm. As I surveyed the crowd, I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that I had orchestrated this gathering. Everyone who mattered in the territories was present, their pockets filled with donations and their checkbooks poised for action.

“Wow! It’s not even seven yet, and they’ve already raised over fifty thousand dollars!” Anya exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she nudged me playfully, gesturing toward the donation counter that glowed brightly above the booth. “That’s incredible!”

Her enthusiasm was infectious. Indeed, the generosity of the attendees was astounding. Tonight, the funds raised were destined for a noble cause—the Territorial Cancer Foundation, established in honor of Liam. Yet, beneath the surface, there lay a deeper significance. Unbeknownst to the guests, their very presence was a step toward shattering a generational curse that had long plagued our families.

As the clock struck seven, the grand doors swung open once more, heralding the arrival of the next guests. My gaze immediately fell upon Ella’s family, who entered with an air of confidence that was hard to ignore. They walked in as if they owned the estate, with Margaret adorned in a stunning diamond necklace that sparkled in the ambient light, while Brian puffed out his chest, waving at his admirers with a smug grin plastered across his face.

“Are you ready?” I asked Anya, my tone shifting to one of seriousness. “Remember, after the swap, stay out of trouble. If things take a turn for the worse, I need you to leave. I can’t bear the thought of you getting caught up in anything dangerous.”

Anya nodded vigorously, smoothing down the front of her elegant dress, her expression a mix of determination and concern. “I know. But you be careful too, okay? I don’t want either of you to get hurt.”

A faint smile crept onto my lips at her words. Anya was such a good friend; her loyalty was unwavering, even if she didn’t fully grasp the complexities of the situation between Ella and me. When we had approached her with our plan, she hadn’t hesitated for a second to lend her support.
