After taking her medicine, Felicia finally felt her body relax. She leaned back in the car for a quick nap, then headed back to the office to catch up on her work.

But by that afternoon, Felicia ended up in the hospital. The stress had gotten to her, and her period came early. The cramps were so bad she couldn’t keep working. The only thing she could do was get hooked up to an IV.

Heather found out from Savannah. Savannah was swamped at work, so she called Heather to help out since Heather had more time. After picking up the kids, Heather went straight to the hospital.

Anne was worried sick when she heard Evelynn wasn’t feeling well. She called right away.

“I’m fine, Anne. Really, there’s nothing to worry about.” Felicia tried to sound normal, but if you listened closely, you could hear how tired she was.

Anne was just a kid, so she didn’t pick up on it, but she still felt uneasy.

That day, it was a bodyguard and the nanny who picked Anne up from school. Since Anne wanted to visit the hospital, the nanny called Max.

“Evelynn’s in the hospital. Miss Anne is on her way there now.”

Max paused for a moment after hearing this. “Alright, go with her.”

“Yes, sir.”

Half an hour later, Heather showed up at the hospital room with Yara and Anne. Felicia was lying in bed with an IV drip in her arm.

“Evelynn!” Anne ran right up to the bed. Her eyes were watery, and she looked like she was about to burst into tears.

Felicia reached out to gently pat her head. “I’m fine, Anne. Don’t worry.”

“What are you sick with?” Anne asked in a small voice.

“It’s nothing serious. I’ll be out of here tomorrow,” Felicia told her.

Anne wanted to climb onto the bed, so Heather helped her, slipping off her shoes and lifting her up. Anne snuggled into Felicia, wrapping her arms around her as if she never wanted to let go.

Felicia sighed and hugged Anne close, breathing in the sweet scent of her hair. Just having Anne near seemed to calm her nerves.

Heather watched them with a smile. “Anne is even clingier than Yara,” she joked.

Felicia brushed a bit of hair from Anne’s cheek, her expression softening. “That’s okay,” she said quietly.
