Later, they ran into more zombies and some thugs trying to steal their car–but those people were no match for them.
Each of them had dual abilities. They had never faced anyone who could actually defeat them.
Louisa was confident in their strength.
That’s why she had dared to save Theresa and take her in.
Seeing two people so vulnerable and alone, she couldn’t help but look out for them.
“You two don’t worry,” Louisa said, patting her chest. “I saved you, so I’ve got your backs. Lucky for you, you ran into our powerful team!”
Dominic’s gaze fell on Theresa and Quentin. “Yeah. We’re all in the same team now. We’ll watch out for you, every single one of us.”
Liam spoke up next. “Theresa, with us around, nothing’s going to happen to you.”
Flora said nothing, only giving them a brief look.
Miles, on the other hand, nodded at Theresa–a rare sign of acknowledgment.
They were supremely confident in their abilities.
Caught up in their enthusiasm, Theresa replied politely, “All right, then… Thank you in advance.”
“Don’t mention it. Now, let’s figure out tomorrow’s route. Flora’s place is to the north, the place you need to go is south. The south is closer, so maybe we go there first, then to Flora’s. That way, we make a nice triangular route back.”
Flora stiffened at that and walked inside, clearly not pleased.
Louisa was a blunt, carefree girl–always saying whatever popped into her mind. She didn’t even notice that quiet, sensitive Flora was upset.
Flora had been in the team for a long time. Now a newcomer showed up, and Louisa immediately wanted to change the route to go there first. How could Flora be happy about that?
Flora stood up and walked straight into the hall.
“Hey! Flora! What’s wrong?

“Where are you going? Did you just agree to the plan and leave?”
Louisa watched her turn and leave, puzzled.
“My dear sister… Flora’s upset.”
“Why?”
“What do you think?”
Louisa frowned, thinking carefully about what had just happened. “I didn’t offend her, did I?”
Everyone else just stared.
Dominic shook his head and stood up. “Why didn’t you decide to go to her place first?”
“It’s farther,” Louisa said. “We go to the closer one first, then the farther one. Isn’t that the safest route? If there are more zombies outside, we can retreat immediately. Otherwise, we might not make it to either place.”
Everyone else was speechless.
There was nothing wrong with her logic, except that it was brutally straightforward.
“You really shouldn’t be a girl. I’ve never met one as blunt as you,” Dominic said, walking over to comfort the angry Flora.
“What do you mean by that?”
Liam stood as well. “You just bullied Flora and don’t even realize it.”
“I bullied her? When did I ever bully her?” Louisa asked, genuinely confused.
“Why did you plan to go to her place last?” Liam asked bluntly.
Louisa was speechless.
She looked at Dominic and Liam as they walked over to comfort Flora. “What… seriously?”
Theresa snickered, unable to hold it in.
Louisa’s eyes went wide in disbelief. “Theresa! You could tell?”
“Yeah,” Theresa said with a smile, nodding.
Being meticulous and cautious by nature, she could immediately pick up on someone else’s displeasure.
