The Undead and Unstoppable Apocalyptic Queen novel Chapter 64

**Kept Woman 641: Edge of the Dead**

“Listen to me, Orren,” Solan said, his voice steady and unwavering. “You need to stay put. Don’t even think about stepping outside later. Just stay in the car.”

Orren opened his mouth to protest, but before he could articulate his thoughts, a violent gagging overtook him. He inhaled sharply, his body convulsing as he lost control, his stomach heaving and emptying itself with the relentless force of a broken faucet. The contents of his stomach splattered against the floor, a grim reminder of the chaos surrounding them.

No one had the patience to linger any longer.

With a swift motion, Solan exited the vehicle from the opposite side, channeling his energy into a fire-based ability that erupted from his hands, scorching the zombies that crowded too close for comfort. The flames danced and crackled as they consumed the first wave of the undead.

One by one, the rest of the team followed suit, each member stepping out of their vehicles and unleashing their unique abilities. The air was thick with tension and adrenaline as they cut through the horde with ruthless precision, their movements synchronized like a well-oiled machine.

“Ms. Hall, what’s our next move?” Solan inquired, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger.

“We need to create a diversion,” Theresa replied, her tone assertive. “You all stay right here. Make some noise in a bit to draw a crowd of zombies toward us.”

“Understood!” Solan responded, his confidence unwavering.

“Theresa, wait! What about us?” Louisa called out as she and a few others climbed out of another vehicle, determination etched on their faces.

The four of them had driven their own car, and now they were ready to take action.

Theresa assessed them quickly, her gaze sharp and calculating. “You’re coming with me. Wait inside the station, and on my signal, toss the bombs to cover my escape.”

“No problem!” Louisa chirped, her eyes sparkling with resolve.

With a sense of urgency, Theresa distributed the bombs, finalizing their ambush points and timing. The air crackled with anticipation as everyone sprang into action, each member knowing their role in this dangerous game.

Solan took the lead in luring the zombies, his focus unwavering. Once their setup was secure, Theresa climbed into Louisa’s car, steering it toward the tracks below, her mind racing with strategy.

In that moment, Orren, still reeling from his earlier episode, clambered into the vehicle behind them.

“I’m coming with you,” he declared, his voice firm.

“This is incredibly dangerous. We’ll be down there for a long time, Orren—please, don’t go,” Flora pleaded, concern etched across her features.

“Since when do you get to dictate my choices?” Orren snapped back, his glare sharp as he claimed the passenger seat, determination radiating from him.

“Orren, you can’t go!” Flora insisted, her voice rising with urgency.

“Solan, stop trying to control me! If you keep hovering over me, I’ll never learn to stand on my own—and that’s on you!” Orren shot back, frustration bubbling to the surface.
