**Kept Woman 651**
**Scared**
The bunker remained untouched, just as Theresa had left it. Every guard she had meticulously assigned to their posts was still standing watch, their expressions stoic and unwavering. It was a small comfort to her, a sign that her absence had not been marked by chaos or disarray.
With purpose in her stride, Theresa navigated through layer after layer of security, each step bringing her closer to the heart of the bunker. The tension in her shoulders coiled tighter with every door she passed, until finally, she reached the last barrier. As she swung it open, her breath caught in her throat at the sight before her.
Tania lay there, vulnerable and still.
“Hurry, neutralize Aunt Tania’s poison!” Theresa’s voice was sharp, urgent as she hastily dumped everything she had scavenged from Professor K. It was a chaotic heap of supplies, including a hefty stash of serums she had managed to gather from the Divine Institute and the Production Company. The sight of them, glinting under the harsh fluorescent lights, filled her with a mix of hope and dread.
Professor K’s gaze fell upon the Eclipse Serum nestled among the clutter, and his eyes sparkled with a blend of surprise and excitement. “Where did you get a Legion Evoloid?” he asked, his astonishment palpable.
Legion Evoloid? The term echoed in her mind, but there was no time for questions.
Theresa lunged forward, snatching the Eclipse Serum from his grasp with a fierce determination. “We can discuss that later. Right now, we need to focus on getting her the antidote!” Her voice trembled with urgency, a stark contrast to the calm she usually embodied.
Professor K rifled through the jumbled supplies, his hands moving with practiced efficiency. As he searched, he stumbled upon a dog’s bed and a few toys, a sight that momentarily broke through the tension. A soft smile crept onto his face, a fleeting glimpse of warmth in the otherwise sterile environment.
He set the dog’s belongings aside and produced two sealed vials from the pile. “These are the ones,” he stated, his tone serious now.
Theresa narrowed her eyes, her protective instincts flaring. “Don’t even think about pulling any tricks. I want to see exactly what you’re doing. If anything happens to her, I swear I’ll cook your dog,” she warned, her voice low and fierce, the threat hanging heavy in the air.
Professor K remained unfazed, that familiar smirk playing on his lips. “You really think I’d fall for anything? With all the dogs you have around, even if you did cook me, mine wouldn’t be touched.”
“Then perhaps you should be more worried about me cooking you instead!” Theresa shot back, her frustration bubbling to the surface.
“Cut the act, Theresa. You just don’t want me messing with it. And honestly, if I had any ill intentions towards your Aunt Tania, I wouldn’t need all this fuss. A little silence from the start would have sufficed,” he replied, expertly using a clean syringe to draw from the two vials. “When I say I’m helping, I mean it.”
Theresa’s eyes remained narrow, suspicion still etched across her features. “Just ensure that the Starborn Order hasn’t switched your meds,” she cautioned, her voice barely above a whisper.
Professor K snorted dismissively. “Keep doubting me and do it yourself. I’m not your babysitter.”
