The Undead and Unstoppable Apocalyptic Queen novel Chapter 682

**Kept Woman 682**

As Lily stepped closer, her heart sank at the sight of Clara, battered and bruised, a stark reminder of the chaos surrounding them. Concern washed over her like a tidal wave, and she instinctively reached out, wanting to offer comfort, to take away the pain etched on Clara’s face.

Just then, the cockpit door swung open with a creak, and Theresa emerged, her presence commanding the space.

“Ms. Hall!” Lily called out, her voice a mix of urgency and desperation. For a fleeting moment, Clara’s injuries faded from her mind, and she turned her attention to Harrance, her partner. “Honey, please help Clara up and take her to get checked. She needs medical attention.”

Theresa’s laughter rang out, sharp and mocking, slicing through the tension that hung in the air like a thick fog.

At the sound of her laughter, Lily noticed Harrance freeze, his hand suspended mid-reach, caught in a moment of indecision. The air grew heavy, thick with an unspoken tension that made Lily’s stomach churn. “What’s wrong?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Theresa leaned against her helicopter, arms crossed, a smirk playing on her lips as she observed the unfolding drama with a detached interest.

Harrance, who had seemed so ready to explain the situation just moments before, now stood silent, his eyes clouded with an internal struggle. He kept his gaze lowered, his pallor stark against the backdrop of the chaos.

“Honey, why do you look so pale? Are you hurt anywhere?” Lily’s voice was laced with concern, but instead of alleviating his distress, it seemed to deepen his turmoil. “You should rest. I can handle this here.”

Then, slicing through the awkwardness like a knife, another voice emerged from the shadows.

“Harrance, being with you even for one night was worth it. Even if you regret it today.” Clara’s words hung in the air, heavy and charged.

“Shut up!” Harrance interjected sharply, panic lacing his tone as he turned toward Clara, desperation etched on his face.

But it was too late; Lily had already caught the weight of Clara’s confession. She froze, her heart racing. “What did you just say?” she asked, disbelief coloring her voice.

“Lily, let me explain,” Harrance said hurriedly, stepping in front of her, his eyes wide with urgency. “It’s not what you think.”

“Lily, it’s all my fault. I’ve loved Harrance for fifteen years. You’ve kept him for fifteen years too! Let him go and give him to me!” Clara shouted, her voice rising in intensity, raw and unfiltered.

“Shut up!” Harrance’s grip tightened as he moved to cover Clara’s mouth, desperation radiating from him.

He held her firmly, as if trying to silence the truth that threatened to unravel everything. Lily watched the scene unfold, her mind racing as if it had exploded into a million fragments.

She stood there, rigid, her eyes glued to Harrance as he struggled to lift Clara, careful to avoid her injuries. Memories flooded back to her—how fiercely he had once guarded his heart against anyone else’s touch.

As he began to carry Clara towards the exit, something inside Lily snapped, and she found her voice, raw and trembling. “Harrance, you love her?”

“Lily, it’s hard to explain right now.” Harrance’s tone was strained as he held Clara close, his gaze darting back to Lily’s. “I need to take her for treatment first. She’s badly hurt.”

“Hold on! Tell me clearly!” Lily’s voice pierced the air, sharp and desperate, tears cascading down her cheeks like a broken dam.

At the sight of her tears, Harrance flinched, as if struck. He couldn’t meet her gaze, his heart heavy with the weight of unspoken truths. “Lily, you’re understanding. You’ll understand. Back then, we…”

Her tears fell like scattered pearls, and she sobbed, “Then it’s true.”
