Gian patted Danielle's shoulder and motioned toward Alexander. "Go talk to him. Some things are better said face-to-face."
With that, he turned and left, leaving the two of them alone on the deck.
Danielle took a deep breath, smoothed down her clothes, and slowly walked toward Alexander.
The sea breeze lifted her hair, and a few stray strands clung to her cheeks, softening her expression.
She stood beside him, gazing out at the dark expanse of the sea. "How did you find me?" she asked softly. "I thought… I thought you'd never find this island."
Alexander's gaze dropped. He didn't speak, merely tightening his grip on the railing.
Danielle's presence only intensified the turmoil in his mind.
He fought the urge to pull her into his arms, to feel her warmth and confirm she was real. But reason held him back.
He was trouble, a walking disaster, and he would only bring her endless danger and pain.
Silence fell between them on the deck, broken only by the sound of waves lapping against the hull and the whistle of the wind.
Danielle didn't press him further, simply standing with him in silence, as if giving him the space he needed to sort through his thoughts.
He remained cold and quiet, saying nothing.
After a long while, Danielle spoke again, her voice gentle. "Niki must miss us."
Her words, spoken like a casual murmur between a husband and wife, struck Alexander right in the heart.
He snapped his head up to look at her, his eyes a whirlwind of complex emotions.
He had almost forgotten that this was how they used to be—discussing their daughter, planning their future like any ordinary couple.

"I know you're afraid of putting me in danger, afraid your condition will affect us. But I'm not scared. I'm really not."
Danielle saw the conflict in his eyes and knew he needed time to process everything.
She gently withdrew her hand. "I'm not rushing you for an answer," she said calmly. "Take your time and think it over."
Then, she turned and walked back toward the cabin, leaving Alexander alone on the deck.
Alexander watched her go, his eyes lingering on her until she disappeared through the cabin door.
The salty sea wind continued to blow, but it couldn't disperse the chaos in his heart.

Oh poor Bianca... regrets, regrets :)...
This is it! Revenge. Way to go Dani....
OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
I hope not a lot of important dialogues get cut out, especially between Danielle and Alexander. But I can't complain, really. Thank you again for the updates....
