Chapter 7
With a single sentence, Julius completely shut down Nina’s attempt to refuse.
The fear in her eyes proved that deep down, she was still terrified of him. The truth was, Julius wasn’t as terrifying as
they imagined, but they had no way of knowing that.
“Alright, fine. Let’s take her to the hospital and have a doctor examine her, Nina conceded.
Then she shot me a fierce glare. “Don’t say anything stupid when we go out, got it!”
My parents flanked me, holding me firmly on both sides to prevent me from making any sudden moves.
My heart was pounding because my sister and I were too similar; she could perfectly mimic my every action.
If Julius failed to recognize me and my parents sided with my sister, I would truly have no way to defend myself.
They ushered me into the hospital, and Julius led us into a private, innermost office.
Nina looked nervous. “Darling, where’s the doctor?”
“Bring a chair for the madam,” Julius instructed his men.
An assistant brought a chair and placed it next to him.
Thank you, darling.” Nina was about to sit down, but Julius stopped her.
“That’s my wife’s seat.” He then looked at me and beckoned me over. My parents held me down tightly, refusing to let me
move.
Nina grew frantic. “Darling, what kind of joke is this? That’s Willow, my sister!”
“Exactly. My wife is Willow Johnson.”
Hot tears of pure joy streamed down my face. He knew. He had known everything.
My mother quickly stepped forward. “Julius, you’ve made a mistake! Nina is your wife!”
“You think I wouldn’t recognize my own wife? Willow, come here.”
The entire family was stunned into silence. I wanted to move, but my parents were holding me in an iron grip.
Julius’s expression darkened. “What’s this? Are you trying to restrain my wife?”
My father panicked. ‘Julius, you really are mistaken! Nina is your wife! Look closer, this is Nina!”
Nina nodded frantically. “Yes, darling, how can you not recognize me? I’m Nina!”

Julius delivered a sharp slap that sent Nina staggering backward, crashing violently to the floor. Her cheek instantly swelled up, and blood started trickling from the corner of her mouth.
“Darling! Why did you hit me?’ Nina was stunned in disbelief.
Julius ignored her, pulling me into his embrace instead. My parents tried to interfere, but a single look from Julius made
them shrink back in fear.
He gently patted my back. ‘I’m sorry, I let you suffer.”
I held him tightly, sobbing uncontrollably from all the pent–up anguish.
Nina was beside herself with rage and disbelief. “Julius, I am Nina! I am the one you wanted to marry!”
Julius settled me down on the chair. “I did take a liking to your face initially, but you were the one who ran away and let
Willow marry me.”
I actually knew about the switch early on. But since you both shared the same face, having a substitute wasn’t a
problem at first.”
He looked at me, his gaze softening. “I originally just needed a beautiful woman to fill the role of Mrs. Howard. But
somewhere along the way, I genuinely fell in love with Willow.”
