Too Late She Already Married Mr. Right (Sophia) novel Chapter 284

"And how am I supposed to just put up with this? You weren't the one who got slapped-there's no way you could understand how furious and humiliated I am!" Helen snapped, glaring.

The PR director was in a total bind-Helen refused to listen to reason, but he wasn't about to risk his job by kicking off a livestream on his own say-so.

"Mrs. Westwood, I'll have to check with the chairman first. Really, this isn't my call," he said, smiling nervously.

With that, he darted out of the hospital room like he couldn't get away fast enough.

Once the door was shut, he muttered under his breath, "These lunatics are hell-bent on running the company into the ground.

Maybe I should just jump ship and join Ms. Evans-at least there might be a future for me there."

The PR director was a pro at reading the room, and once he made up his mind, he didn't waste a second.

He slipped into the stairwell and dialed Sophia's number.

Sophia had just been dropped off at the industrial park by Richard, and as she walked inside, she answered the call.

The PR director didn't bother with small talk-he got straight to the point.

When Sophia heard Helen was planning to go live on Yadel Group's official channel and play the victim, she could barely hold back a laugh.

"Aren't those posh families supposed to be allergic to airing their dirty laundry? But Helen, wow-she's practically hoping the whole city turns her into a laughingstock," Sophia snorted.

"Is Billy even aware Helen's basically asking for epic disaster right now?' Sophia mused, eyes rolling

But Billy was still in the hospital himself, probably way too busy with his own drama to bother with Helen. If he ever caught wind of this, he'd explode.

The PR director said, "Honestly, at this point, Mrs. Westwood cares more about pulling you into the mud than protecting her own reputation."

Sophia just shook her head

'Helen stood by Billy all those years, helped build everything, and now she's this narrow-minded? Getting old really does change people, Sophia thought, feeling a bit exasperated 'All she wants is to drag me down, even if it means wrecking the entire company. I seriously have no idea what to even say to that, Sophia sighed to herself.

"Just let it go. From what I know of Helen, if she can't bend you, she'll start leaning on the junior PR staff. Then she'll be free to make whatever mess she wants," Sophia said with a snort.

The PR director's eyes widened. He thought, 'Seriously, that was genius.

'Sophia really knows all the tricks, he thought. 'If I did it myself, whether handing Helen the official account or making someone else do it, I'd be the one getting roasted if things went south.

"But if Helen bullies the staff herself, I'm completely in the clear.'

"Dr. Evans, I seriously owe you forever for this genius plan. If you ever need a favor, just holler-I'm ready to switch sides anytime and work for you," the PR director gushed, falling over himself with gratitude.

"Let's just see how things shake out first," Sophia replied.

The PR director might be slick as they come, but his network ran deep everywhere.

If he actually joined Pioneer Institute, Sophia could finally quit stressing about PR headaches for good.

The PR director, eager to prove his worth, instantly started buttering Sophia up. "Dr. Evans, don't worry-when it comes to Mrs. Westwood, I'll pour gasoline on this fire and really get things blazing. Just wait, you'll see how loyal I am!"
