Chapter 10
Five years later.
New York Airport.
“Hey, isn’t that Olivia?”
“The photographer who shot a masterpiece like ‘Hopeless Despair‘ is actually a woman?”
The staff waiting to pick her up stared in disbelief at the woman walking out of the airport.
High–waisted jeans and a short brown leather jacket outlined her slender curves.
“So beautiful!
Wait… why does she look so familiar?”
“I heard she used to be in the entertainment industry, then she just quit to get married.”
“Eleanor?
!
Holy shit, it’s really her!”
While they were talking, the woman looked over at them and their sign.
Eleanor raised her hand slightly toward the staff. “Light Studio?”
The staff member quickly nodded, respectfully taking the luggage from Eleanor’s hands, his eyes still glancing at her. He couldn’t help but marvel–she was the very picture of flawless, porcelain skin.
So beautiful!
They worked in showbiz, so they’d seen plenty of beautiful women.
But it was the first time they’d seen someone like Eleanor, who looked ten times better in person than on camera.
She was stunning in person.

“Thank you.”
“It’s no trouble, Olivia. It must have been a long trip!
I’ll take you to the hotel to get settled in first.”
Eleanor followed the staff member into the car.
Looking at the familiar yet strange streets, Eleanor felt a mix of emotions.
It’s been five years since she left New York City.
Time flies.
She once thought that after moving to Provence, she’d never come back.
But Aunty told her that if she had truly let go, she shouldn’t be afraid of seeing old faces and places.
Otherwise, she would have regrets for the rest of her life.
So, she came back.
Along the way, she could see various businesses of the Blackwood Group, and countless promotional and endorsement videos of celebrities.
The sight left Eleanor’s mind in a mess.
In truth, she had already moved on.
Perhaps it was just the anxiety of returning home.
She looked out the window and started recalling scenes from five years ago.
It was a good thing she chose to leave five years ago.
Otherwise, by now, she might have really become the laughingstock of all of New York.
The staff member, noticing the awkward atmosphere in the car and seeing Eleanor looking at the large screen outside the window, tried to make conversation: “I heard you used to be a star, too.”
“Yes, but I left the industry to get married.”
As she said this, the group’s eyes all focused on the diamond ring on Eleanor’s ring finger.
They all marveled, wondering what kind of man could marry a woman so beautiful and talented.

The film ‘Hopeless Despair‘ won almost every international award it could, especially for cinematography, where it swept the board.
Olivia’s fame also took off internationally.
This time, the new film was also aiming for Cannes, the sets were incredibly expensive, and most importantly, to accommodate Eleanor’s schedule, they had delayed the start of filming by a full eight months.
It was a clear testament to how formidable Eleanor’s talent and influence were.
After the staff dropped Eleanor off at the hotel and she was settled, she had them take her to the Rose Garden.
The Rose Garden was a private residence under the Blackwood family’s name. Back then, Julian had protected the woman he loved, which led to her acting career being ruined by scandalous photos.
To compensate her, Julian transferred the Rose Garden to her name as “compensation.”
She didn’t want it at first, but her best friend, Sarah, said she had to take what she was owed.
