Chapter 119 Everyone at the Same Hotel

As they approached the elevators, Beatrice's breath caught.

A familiar blonde stepped inside just ahead of them—Anastasia Whitmore.

Beatrice hesitated, but Violet, oblivious, followed right in.

The elevator doors closed, trapping them together. Beatrice stood rigidly at the front while Anastasia and her friend chatted behind them.

Anastasia's friend broke the silence, "When is Damian arriving?"

"His mother said around eleven-thirty," Anastasia replied. "So probably soon."

"Honestly, he should be picking you up. You're a Whitmore—since when do we wait on Crowleys? Money aside, your family's just as—"

"Really, it's fine. I don't mind waiting for him."

"Wow, is this the Anastasia I know? You've really fallen for him, haven't you?" Her friend teased, "Not that I blame you—with that face of his... Congratulations in advance on landing Damian Crowley."

Anastasia playfully swatted her arm. "Stop it! Nothing's decided yet."

As they exited the elevator, Beatrice kept her expression carefully neutral. Violet, however, looked back in shock.

Once out of earshot, she whispered urgently, "Was that Ms. Whitmore?"

Beatrice nodded. "Yep. Anastasia Whitmore—Whitmore Holdings' heiress."

Violet groaned. "What a jerk! First he comes on to you, then dates some socialite? Typical rich scumbag."

Beatrice hushed her quickly, pulling Violet into their room.

"Come on, stop saying stuff like that. He didn't cheat me. He made things very clear."

"Only because he found a new target!" Violet scoffed and then narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "If I hadn't been there the other night, he would've... God, unbelievable. He goes on blind dates while trying to sleep with—"

"Violet!" Beatrice clamped her hand over Violet's mouth. "Theo's here. Keep your voice down."

Violet just laughed and ruffled her brother's hair affectionately. "Relax, Theo's fine."

Theodore nodded enthusiastically, his ears turning pink.

Beatrice sighed and looked around the room.

Violet had booked a large suite with two bedrooms.

"Theo, you'll take the smaller room," Violet announced decisively.

Beatrice considered suggesting Theodore might prefer his own room—after all, he wasn't a kid anymore—but then she watched Violet order him around to unpack, make coffee, and give shoulder rubs.

Clearly, Theodore was essentially Violet's little servant.

She moved to the window, opened her phone, and reluctantly checked the location again.

With Anastasia staying here, wouldn't Damian likely stay here too?

Her heart sank when she saw his car heading straight for the hotel.

Is this seriously the only five-star hotel in all of Solhaven?

"Violet, maybe we should change hotels?" Beatrice asked anxiously.

"No way!" Violet crossed her arms. "You're his employee, not his mistress. If anyone should leave, it's them! If things get bad, just quit!"

It wasn't that Beatrice was scared.

She just felt unbearably irritated—an intense frustration she couldn't seem to shake.

Yet, Violet's logic was hard to argue against.

"Fine, whatever. If we bump into each other, then we bump into each other," Beatrice conceded. "We'll just mind our own business."

"Exactly! He's here on a date, and we're here looking for a dead—" Violet caught herself, changing the subject quickly. "Anyway, we have nothing to do with them."

Beatrice managed a smile. "You're right. We have nothing to do with them."

*****

About half an hour later, the trio went downstairs for lunch to discuss their afternoon plans.

"I already have the address for the girl's home," Violet said. "We'll visit her after we eat."
