Trash Husband, I'm the Top novel Chapter 384

Mrs. Cooper’s expression remained calm and composed.

Hans had already told her everything about David.

Though grief weighed heavily on her heart, she knew mourning was pointless now; all that mattered was keeping the company steady.

“I’ll manage the Cooper family’s affairs for now. Once Hans gets better, I’ll let him take over.” Mrs. Cooper had everything planned out.

Daniel nodded, casting a lingering look back at the hospital room before quietly turning to leave.

Hans’s assistant stepped over and gently draped a coat over Mrs. Cooper’s shoulders. “Ma’am.”

“Let’s go to the office.”

In her younger years, Mrs. Cooper had been a formidable partner to her husband, helping him run the company with a shrewd, steady hand.

Later, after she and her husband retired and passed the business to their eldest son, tragedy struck. The entire family was lost, and Mr. Cooper, unable to bear the pain, passed away soon after. Since then, Mrs. Cooper had rarely set foot in Fairvale, avoiding memories that brought nothing but sorrow.

But now, she had no choice but to step in.

Fortunately, though her hair had turned silver, her resolve was as sharp as ever.

After firmly dealing with a few troublemakers, the rest of the staff quickly fell in line.

Sitting in the back of her chauffeured car, Mrs. Cooper felt a dull ache behind her temples.

“Old age is catching up with me,” she murmured.

Her assistant offered a respectful smile. “You’re as strong as ever, ma’am. Age hasn’t slowed you down one bit.”

Mrs. Cooper massaged her forehead and asked, “Still no sign of him?”

“No, ma’am. Nothing yet.”

A wave of fatigue washed over her. She had raised all three of her children herself, treating them with the same care and discipline. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined things would end with brothers turning against each other.

And Hans—he knew everything, yet chose to keep silent.

Did he really think so little of his grandmother?

“Keep looking,” Mrs. Cooper instructed her assistant.
