Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 141

After saying her piece, she just left Drusilla in the dust!

Entering her room, Drusilla began picking up and gathering her belongings, items filled with childhood memories. Among these, she found a photo of her mother.

It took her a while to unearth it from the clutter. After dusting off the photo and seeing her mother's smiling face, she tucked it into her bag.

Descending the stairs, Drusilla overheard Hestia instructing the staff about dinner preparations. The staff, engaging in small talk, asked, "Miss Drusilla won't be moving back in, will she?"

Hestia replied, "She's married into the Taylor family now. What reason does she have to come back?"

"The thing is, she went to Miss Odette’s room today and found it occupied," the staff mentioned.

"Well, if she isn't coming back, that room will be there for Odette when she returns."

Drusilla, listening from the sidelines, found the conversation between the two utterly amusing.

How could a home staff become so bold? Turned out it’s all Hestia’s idea!

The staff only dare to act up when they know what their masters are thinking.

Clearing her throat, Drusilla stepped in.

Hearing her, Hestia looked up with a super warm smile, "Drusilla, there you are! Did Enoch mention when he might drop by?"

Her face changed faster than a roller-coaster.

Descending further, Drusilla responded, "He didn't say."

"Well, why don't you give him a call? We can time dinner perfectly so it doesn't get cold waiting for him."

After Drusilla's mother passed, Hestia married into the family and took care of Drusilla. Initially, Drusilla thought Hestia cared for her, but it turned out to be nothing more than a performance for her father's benefit.

Once Odette arrived and their father was away, Hestia's true colors showed through her numerous antics behind him.

Drusilla simply chuckled without a word and headed straight to the living room.

Hestia watched her go, a smirk playing on her lips. Drusilla might have married into the Taylor family, but she wasn't worried.

After all, it was only because Odette refused to marry that Drusilla took her place. With her reputation, marrying into the Taylor family wouldn't guarantee her a happy life.

Leander, always busy with external affairs, hardly had time for domestic issues, let alone Drusilla's concerns.

In this household, the only voice that mattered was her own.
